Description
The Engadine house, which is more than 300 years old, has been carefully renovated. The modern elements and high-quality furnishings harmonize perfectly with the original structure. The antique furniture comes exclusively from the region. With 330 square meters, the house offers plenty of space for up to 12 guests. It is the vacation home of a Swiss family that relies on the special care of the tenants. The house has received a 5-star rating from the Swiss Tourism Federation. The space The Schilana 80 house has the traditional structure of a three-story Engadine farmhouse on four floors. Architect Duri Vital from the nearby village of Sent renovated it in 2010 with great respect for the traditional construction, creating a successful mix of old and new. In the spring of 2021, the attic was renovated and transformed into a large and bright living room with a dormer window that offers a wide view of the valley. Ground floor The entrance gate leads into the so-called Sulèr, the large central space. A long table with many chairs makes it the communicative heart of the house. The room, covered with antique larch wood, the oven and the comfortable sofa, invite you to spend relaxing hours of leisure. From the kitchen-living room with high-quality equipment you have direct access to the large panoramic terrace. On the ground floor there is also a bedroom with two beds and a bathroom (shower/toilet). First Floor From the long and spacious corridor of the first floor, the music room (Zimmer 4 on the floor plan) with piano, three bedrooms (a large room with a comfortable sofa and two beds, "Zimmer 3", and two rooms with a double bed each: "Zimmer 1" and "Zimmer 2") and a bathroom (bathtub/shower/toilet) are located. (A fourth bedroom on the 1st floor, the "Zimmer 5", is not accessible as it is the private room of Swiss owners living abroad). Penthouse The bright room offers a comfortable place to stay with sofas and armchairs, a fireplace as well as a pool table and a sink/tea table on 56 square meters. From there you get to another room with a double bed and bathroom (shower/toilet). Basement The wooden gate in the basement leads to the former covered courtyard of the stables, through which the cows were led into the adjacent barn. Today there is another guest room with a sofa/double bed ("Keller 2" on the floor plan) and a spacious sauna with attached shower ("Keller 3") as well as a laundry room. (The "Keller 1" room is not accessible to tenants). There are two parking spaces in front of the house; in summer, the relatively steep driveway leading to the entrance of the basement can be used as a third parking space. Dogs are welcome on the ground floor, as long as they are clean and well-behaved. Schilana 80 is a non-smoking house. Thank you for your understanding. House address Schilana 80 7556 Ramosch Shopping: The village shop with excellent bread from the region is just 100 meters from the house. - The next largest village with ample shopping opportunities is Scuol, 8 kilometers away. - In Austria, Pfunds with large supermarkets can be reached in 20 minutes by car. Disclaimer We accept no liability for accidents or damage, for example due to ice falling from the roof in front of the house (for example on cars parked there). The same goes for the snow that slides from the roof into the garden on the right side of the small staircase that leads to the garden terrace. (The sunny terrace in front of the kitchen, as well as the staircase leading to the garden and the left side of it are protected). Beware of the steep stairs leading to the attic and the glass door at the entrance (danger to children's hands). Here too, the landlord assumes no responsibility.
