Lakeside Cabin in the Sam Houston National Forest

Summer is the ideal time to enjoy a lake view from the front porch, in a remote rustic setting amid the Sam Houston National Forest. Nestled among the trees, our private cozy country cabin provides access to a fishing pier sitting on a fully stocked catch & release private lake (no license required). Minutes from historic downtown Montgomery & Lake Conroe. Short drive to College Station, Huntsville, The Woodlands. Walk to the nearby Lone Star Hiking Trail or bring kayaks for fun on the lake. The space Lovely two story cozy home with 4 walk-out decks at each entry point. Expect the comforts of home including a kitchen complete with basic cookware, utensils and dishes. The cabin boasts an updated half bath downstairs and a full bath upstairs. Bedroom 1 includes a Queen-sized bed, a set of bunk beds and a closet. Bedroom 2 includes two Queen sized beds and a closet. Chest of drawers for extended stays and all bedding is included in both bedrooms. Common area downstairs has a full sized sofa along with overflow dining. Ideal for a family with children or adults seeking a get away. Minimum 2-night stay. A charcoal grill and large firepit are available on site. This is a country cabin with Air Conditioning window units for cooling and space heaters for warmth in winter. Guest access A community fishing pier is available throughout guests' stay and is located across the street. A Community swimming pool is available in the summer for guests to use. The Sam Houston National Forest has various horse and bike trails and is within walking distance. NOTE this is a small private lake with catch and release policy. Only NON-motorized boating is permitted with no swimming in lake. Other things to note *Nearby access to Lake Conroe (public boat ramp called Scott’s Ridge, located within 5 miles) *Historic Downtown Montgomery with local shops and grocery stores, restaurants, etc. all within 5 miles *Free Wifi *Private Community Lake is catch and release but stocked with native fish *Lakeside Gazebo across the street *Outdoor lakeview patio seating on front decks *On-site BBQ grill and fire pit *Neighborhood Swimming Pool (Seasonal Memorial Day-Labor Day) *Pool and fishing passes are in a pail atop the fridge NOTE-No motorized boats or jetskis are permitted on the private lake. It is a non-swimming lake as well. Guests violating this policy will be asked to leave without refund.
