Set your mind at ease in the laid back suburbs of LA. Perfect for the working professional. Avoid travel nightmares by booking with a an experienced, organized Super Host. I've been hosting with Airbnb since the beginning. Hi! You will enjoy your own PRIVATE bedroom + PRIVATE bathroom next door for your use only. Your room is inside a peaceful house shared with 2 permanent occupants. We only rent one room so you will not have other strangers renting the living room sofa and futon! Calculate cost: Enter # of nights you'll spend + the number of beating hearts you will be bringing with you. $24 per each additional guest or pet as our nightly cost is very low. 1 person with 2 dogs = 3 guests. No infants. The house is not child proofed. Your child must be supervised by you and will count as an additional guest. Our home is located in Winnetka CA. (between Tarzana and Woodland Hills). In addition to your queen memory foam bed, we have 2 futons & 2 blow up mattresses that can be set up in the living room or one in your room for additional guests. You have full access to kitchen, living room, back yard, & laundry access for 7 day stays or longer (10am-11pm). *Please read the ENTIRE description & house rules to make an informed decision.* Conveniently located near: CSUN, Pierce College, Kaiser, Regan Library, Chatsworth Courthouse, Westfield Village Mall, Rocketdyne, Warner Center, The Topanga Mall, Northridge Mall, Costco, Target, & the Metro. When there is no traffic I can make it to Westwood/ UCLA or Hollywood in 15 min. *Sean Oshea's TGD T3 training class attendees love it here! Some bring their dogs (few places accept dogs for $24 per night) Welcoming mature, professional guests. I have 2 small dogs that I keep in my room and the back yard. I occasionally board dogs who are also kept in my room. You do not have to meet them unless you go in the back yard. The house is clean & flea free. If you are allergic or dislike dogs in the yard this is not the place for you. If you are a smoker- I'm allergic to your clouds of smoke. No smoking, binge drinking, or drugs in the house please. We are not 420 friendly due to allergies. If you are looking for a party house or a place to self destruct, this is not it. Lots of bonuses. Full house & yard access. You can’t get this in an apartment or hotel! A Best Western hotel will be much more expensive and will not provide luxury linens or the amenities below. "How much will it cost for my stay?" Please use the trip calculator. Top right corner of my listing. Choose the dates you'd like to stay, add appropriate number of guests. Trip total will include Airbnb fees. Weekly and monthly discounts will automatically appear. No haggling. Demand is too high and we are not desperate. The dogs who board here pay more than Airbnb guests. Sorry we do not pre-show the home before booking. It is an invasion of the current guest's privacy. We have more detailed photos than most listings (75 pictures) on this site. Our reviews all state that the place is just as pictured. Thanks for understanding. This is a single family home built in the 1950's. It has been remodeled and upgraded in many ways. Any additional human or furry 4 legged guests must be added to the number guests in your reservation. Your pet counts as an additional guest. Your pet must be approved by me before you bring it. I am a pet industry professional who works with service dogs and knows how to test if yours is indeed a service dog. "I'm not sure what my plans are..."- Don't book until you know. If you are very particular or have OCD, we suggest not booking here (ha, ha) OR booking 2 nights as a trial visit so that you are not bound to a longer reservation. You can always extend later. I keep my word and take your reservation seriously. When you book the home, you block other guests from making a reservation. We are constantly booked. Please plan your travel responsibly & make sure the commute is to your liking. Once you book you can not ask for a refund upon arrival. Just as we can not get back the guests that would have booked the house during the time you booked it. I would never ask you to leave early so I could take advantage of a more lucrative offer. By the same token, I would appreciate you keeping your commitment for the time you reserve. Playing it by ear and asking for your money back is...to be honest...selfish. Hotels charge much more for less and do not refund your money for early departure. If you choose to leave early, you are choosing to forfeit your money. Please do not ask for your money back. No refunds. No exceptions. I do not have the power to override management's policy on this. "Can I bring a dog?" One non-aggressive, non drooling, small to medium sized (up to 40 lbs) house trained dog allowed for the same price as an additional human. Dog must not scratch cabinets/doors. Please book accordingly (To book for you plus one dog: Select 2 guests). Much cheaper than boarding and you get to live with your best friend! Your dog must have a history of getting along with other animals, be house trained, and flea free. Please mention the breed of your dog in your reservation request. Include a photo of your dog. Care of your dog is your responsibility during your stay. You must accompany your dog into the yard and pick up it's poop daily. If you leave town during your stay and aren't having your dog accompany you- it is an additional $20 per night to feed and board your dog. Walks are $18 for 20 min, $22 for 1/2 hr. I am a certified dog walker/sitter with more than 250 five star ratings and rave reviews. "Can I bring a cat?" Sorry no cats Who else lives there? Hovey is the kindest, most generous spirited gentleman. He has lived here for 6 years. He works 7am-7pm 6 days per week with Sundays off. He is happy to offer help and local tips. He has become friends with most of the guests if they desire. If you would rather not talk to him just tell him you are shy or like to keep to yourself. He is a nice old man and will oblige. He has his own room and private bathroom. He is not interested in you romantically, trust me. LOL Due to demand, I can't "hold" a room for you. Please don't ask for a discount. It is recommended that you book immediately after I pre- approve you. Several people inquire about booking the room at the same time. Many times someone else swoops in and books it if you wait. Assets that will get you approved to stay: *Several positive Airbnb guest reviews on your profile. *Funds readily available to pay for the full reservation *Communicative *Considerate. No problem with the house rules. *Clean *Honest. No criminal record *Your own Airbnb account. Using your spouse's/friend's account puts us at risk of reviews/ratings made by someone who has never been here. *Integrity = Do what you say you are going to do. *Kind. *Able to read and follow simple instructions. Does not ask for special privileges that break house rules. *Not asking questions that are already answered on this detailed listing. *Experience living independently. Basic knowledge of how to use appliances without damaging the house. *Likes dogs- not allergic. Fear of pets makes for a very unpleasant living experience for all. *Plan to go to work/sight see each day. Self sufficient. Not looking for a guest who rarely leaves the house- we have not had good luck with shut ins. *Understanding that your host is not responsible for the weather, your transportation (unless you want to hire me as your driver), or anything else that happens outside of the house. Living room, Outdoor living room, Back yard fire pit & bbq, kitchen, dining room, and laundry. Please text me if you need anything. You set your preference for interaction & we will follow that. I'm an actress who designs & manufactures my line of pet carriers and accessories. I work a lot behind closed doors 7 days a week. If you don't see me it's because I'm working. I often work quietly until 5am communicating with overseas factories. Holidays are the busiest time of year in my industry so you probably will not see much of me then. Both of us work a lot and will not be in your business. Mixed family neighborhood. Some with kids, some retired. Most guests message before they book asking how far the house is to where they need to be. I give you the number of miles and driving time. Use your judgement to decide if our location suits your needs. Renting a car is the most convenient way to get around a spread out city like LA. We have had guests stay for 3 mos or more using public transit. The Metro line is a 5-10 minute drive from the house. There are also bus stops nearby. Metro bus 243 runs a few blocks away off of Winnetka. And there is always Uber or Lyft. If I'm available, I can drive you to your destination and pick you up for less than your UBER/LYFT quote. We have a keen barometer for con artists and sociopaths. Scammers will be immediately removed from the house. This is strictly a drama free environment. Many of our guests have turned into life long friends. Honesty, peace, and respect is the only kind of energy we welcome here. Threatening to leave a bad review or make false reports if we don't do what you want will be reported as extortion. We do not financially NEED to have our home on Airbnb & will not hesitate to take it off the market.
