This newly renovated, bright and spacious Bed & Breakfast is on the first floor of an old winemaker’s house, situated in the picturesque village of Montouliers, in the heart of the sunny wine-growing region of the Minervois in the south of France. There is plenty to do visiting local restaurants and markets, quaint villages, historic sites or enjoying a day on a nearby Mediterranean beach. The village has interesting cycling and walking on its doorstep with many local vineyards for wine tasting The space The house itself is full of character with its exposed beams and high ceilings and has been sensitively renovated using reclaimed furniture (apart from the high end comfy beds!) its boasts large sunny rooms and a south facing garden with use of a barbecue. Our 4 ensuite B&B rooms are all situated on the first floor along with a communal kitchen, dining room and lounge with fabulous views of fields and vines. There is free WiFi and a cupboard of games and books. On the ground floor are your hosts Rob and Natalie on hand to help with any questions you may have. And then downstairs again to your private access, garden with patio and barbecue, 2 parking spaces and a huge garage available for secure storage of bikes etc. Montouliers, situated between the mountains and the Mediterranean, is a charming village with winding cobbled lanes, known as ‘la Calade’ which lead up to the 12th century chateau and church. There is also a Roman fountain at the edge of the village and 3 wine domaines, where wine tasting is available. In the village itself is a small grocery/restaurant/bar/post office. Guest access You have your en-suite bedroom as well as a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, dining room. There is also a large basement with seating, storage area, games (darts, table football, jenga etc) with a bar area. There is also a secluded garden with tables, chairs, lounge chairs and a BBQ.
