The space Description The apartment on the 1 st floor ( 65 m² ) has a kitchen (all cooking facilities available), dining room, living room, bedroom, bathroom & toilet. The apartment is fully furnished (partly with antique furniture) and equipped. There is a double bed in the bedroom and a folding sofa with a high-quality mattress, possibly sleeping two people, plus an extra bed for one or two persons in the living room. A TV set, satellite, radio/cassette player, and an automatic washing/drying machine are also available. Duvets, beddings, towels, hair dryer, umbrella etc. are provided. The flat is sunny and comfortable, with a view of the Prague Castle. There is a free Wi-Fi internet access. Location: This historical house is situated in a quiet part of the Malá Strana quarter (Lesser Town), in Vlašská Street, in the immediate vicinity of the Prague Castle, Strahov Monastery, Lesser Town Square and Charles Bridge. All of the main places of interest are within walking distance. The neighbourhood is a very safe area. The house is half way between American and German embassies. There are also small shops and galleries, restaurants and bars, a police station, a hospital and the largest public park in Prague, the Petrín Hill with an observation tower, which is a smaller copy of Eiffel Tower in Paris, a funicular and a mirror labyrinth, a favourite destination for walks with children. In addition, there is a nice playground nearby. The house is a place of culture heritage, a listed building, dating back to 14th C, rebuilt in classicistic style. Its first historical name is “At the Cascade”. The ground floor houses the Eclectic Gallery. Founded in 2002, the gallery specializes in contemporary design jewellery & design glass, historical glass, paintings, graphics and photography, offering also an eclectic selection of antiques (china, glass, jewellery). The wide range of artefacts is supplemented by artistic postcards and cards, including Czech art stamps. The gallery offers a 5% discount to the guests of the house. It is possible to arrange for shipment by Spedia. Open daily 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. (or upon request). The house is very well accessible by public transport (bus 1 min, trams 5 minutes, underground line A 10 min.), by car or taxi. House rules: Children under 6 for free. There is a possibility to leave luggage in the gallery's office. Check-in: 2 p.m. Check-out: 11 a.m. Our motto: All the comforts of a home with the conveniences of a hotel.
