Waubeek House is a large red brick guest house that was built in 1908 and has been restored. It is a very large three story home with medium sized guest rooms on the second and third floor. Your cabin is equipped with a door lock and key, quality linens, two pillows for the bed, one towel per person, toiletries, small fan, mirror, dresser, hangers. Your hosts live on the main floor of the guest house with their pet dog. As a train town, we are close to the busy rail system. We offer ear plugs in each room. While your host will likely meet you on arrival, this is not always possible. You will be given the key code for the guest house. Entrance to Waubeek House is via a set of exterior stairs. The two shared large bathrooms are located on the second floor. One is off the main hall and the other is off the kitchen. The cabin is ideal for a single guest but can accommodate two. If you have interest in a long stay, we are able to accommodate this. High speed WIFI is available and works well in all areas. The guest area is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers are located on the second floor hall, kitchenette and closet, second and third floor landings. There is no A/C. We are located close to restaurants, downtown, great beaches, library and hospital. You can easily walk, bike or drive to local events. We are a short drive to many municipal and provincial parks. Parry Sound offers great flying, boating, swimming, kayaking and canoe opportunities. It is a great four season location with so many activities. Guest access As cabin guest, you have access to the 2nd floor of the guest house kitchenette (coffee/tea) and two shared bathrooms via the guest entrance up a full flight of stairs in the guest house. Other guests occupy the second and third floors. Hosts reside on the main floor with their older dog. Your bike can be parked within a gated yard of the house. Light meal prep only. Kitchen is closed at 800pm. During your stay The cabin is located in the rear fenced yard/garden of the large guest house. Entry is through the gate near the driveway and up a full flight of stairs. The kitchenette, and two baths are on the second floor. Guest rooms are located on the second and third floor. Other things to note While your cabin offers full privacy, you may hear, meet, greet and see the hosts and guests when you leave your cabin or attend the guest house amenities. Remember - there is train noise.
