Upper Pityme has its own small open plan outside area & provides smart self-contained accommodation and countryside views. There is easy access to the stunning beaches one mile walk away. Situated at the top of the lovely seaside resort of Rock,Upper Pityme has it's own private entrance & parking. Includes: double bedroom, open plan kitchen, dining, living space & WiFi . Lovely pub nearby & short walk to local shops, eateries and coast. We also have a sofa (bed ) n the lounge for 2 people. The space Your comfort and safety during your stay are paramount. Our cleaners will conduct change overs in line with current advice, and cleaning products will be left at the property for your use. Description of the property: Your bedroom has a comfy king size bed with all bed linen and towels included for two. If the sofa bed is used: eg: more than 2 people stay: bedding and towels for the double sofa bed is supplied. The main bedroom has a dressing table, built in wardrobes, bed side tables and lamps. The living space is an open plan fitted kitchen, diner, lounge with countryside views and includes all the usual conveniences, fridge with freezer top box, microwave, oven, hob, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, toaster and all pots pans and cutlery/crockery. We will provide tea, coffee & milk ready for your first brew on arrival. We have tried to make our accommodation a home from home making sure all of our guests have a relaxing stay More about the space: The accommodation is accessed up a wide low rising flight of steps, it comprises a welcoming porch with hanging and storage area, an open plan, well-equipped kitchen / diner and sitting room; there is a table and four chairs with country side views , sofa (which can be converted into a double bed ) and separate chair, TV, DVD player, playstation 3, coffee tables and lamp. There is a comfy double bedroom with king size bed, all bedding supplied, spacious wardrobe, bedside tables with drawers, dressing table with drawers, chair, clock radio and lamps A sofa bed for up to 2 people to sleep on in the living area additionally to the double bed in the bedroom For each additional adult, we charge just £5.00 per night per person.. A separate bathroom with bath and shower over, storage, shower gel and hand soap and toilet roll to start off your stay; towels are provided for your use in the flat. Please bring beach towels with you. There is a small outside area for your sole use, with a table and 2 chairs, and 2 additional chairs are available in the shed to use. The storage shed can be used for boards and bikes and equipment, there is a rotary drier and pegs and hooks for drying your wetsuits on hangers outside. The flat is in the district of Pityme, Rock. Rock is a haven for water sports and on the Camel estuary an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is Golf at St Enodoc overlooking Rock and Daymer beaches. From Rock you look over the water to Padstow and beaches. The point at Polzeath is a twenty minute walk or short drive and has a golf course and leisure facilities. Polzeath is a popular surfing beach. Rock affords you plenty – Pityme Inn, just 200mts away on Rock Road offers great food from all day breakfast to evening meals, with takeaway and outside cooking. Jaws takeaway pizza is nearby and turn right out of the , food truck is there Mon to Fri, and next to this Lowlands micro brewery with tables and visiting takeaway providers on set days . 200mts from the accommodation ,just down from Lowlands is the Sharps Doom Bar shop and tasting centre ( you can also walk this way down through the lane to Porthilly round to Rock beach) Follow Rock Road from the Pityme Inn to the Nursery Stores selling a good selection of food, bakery, drinks and household essentials with the local fish and chip shop next door, art gallery, another short distance is a wet fish shop and Mooch gift shop; continuing down is the local Butchers, Rock bakery open from 7.30am sells a wide range of products for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Further down you come to the ‘Dining room’ a fine restaurant, post office stores, Fee’s food –delicious and fine picnics, lunch , meals for home and dining and catering service and Cornish coffee, there is a clothes boutique / gift shop , further down is the Rock institute on the RHS and turn left opposite thito Porthilly Beach . Just before this left hand turning ,From Easter through to Sept -The Hut behind the Hedge offers coffee , drinks , savoury snacks and homemade bakes to eat in the Sea View car park or to takeaway, there is also Rock Hardware in the village, treatment rooms and the renowned , St Enodoc restaurant and St Enodoc golf course overlooking Rock and Padstow .Further down through Rock ‘The Mariners pub by Paul Ainsworth’- further down is the four Boys café / restaurant overlooking the sea and two more eateries- The upper Deck, with Rock beach and sea views and a few boutique clothes / gift shops The foot ferry runs regularly to Padstow all day- you can take bikes on this. The water taxi runs in the evening, or you can drive round to Padstow. The camel ski school in Rock offers a wide variety of water pursuits and sailing for all! Wadebridge, five miles away has a wide range of excellent eateries and an interesting and useful mix of lovely shops; you are also serviced by supermarkets and a cinema. North Cornwall has an abundance of things to do- walking, exploring or relaxing on the stunning beaches, boat rides, paddle boarding, surfing and sailing, dining, art and craft galleries, food and drink producers, plenty of eateries and country houses, gardens and attractions galore! Llanhydrock and pencarrow are nearby. The area is also well serviced with the camel trail from Padstow through Wadebridge all the way to Wenford Bridge – this is excellent for cycling and walking with many bike hire shops along the route; there is also Cardinham woods, Bodmin, for mountain biking, walking and Woods café. Padstow has much to offer, including Rick Stein’s many eateries, Paul Ainsworth ‘no.6’ Michelin star restaurant, and Rojanos, as well as many more excellent restaurants, pubs and coffee stops and shops. For the less able golfer, there is crazy golf course with stunning views over the harbour. If you fancy a walk, head out over the camel trail past the fisheries and this will take you to Wadebridge or you can walk up past the monument and out over the beaches (tide dependant) or coastal path. There are many small towns and villages, and the rugged Bodmin Moor. Nearby, is beautiful Port Issac- home of Nathan Outlaw- Michelin star chef restaurants and Doc Martin – TV programme Guest access Entire accommodation with private entrance and plenty of private parking directly outside. Access to Upper Pityme is up a wide flight of low rising steps directly from the drive. There is a small area / bistro garden for your sole use and a parking area and lockable storage shed that you may use. Other things to note Upper Pityme has free WI-FI, DVD/ Amazon Fire stick Information on local area amenities, maps, and walks available for you to borrow.
