Ballyboe Cottage

A rare jewel. Ballyboe is a traditional Donegal Cottage built well over 100 years ago yet modernized to give the guest the best of both worlds. Set in its own 9 acres of farmland the cottage combines total seclusion and privacy with surrounding farmland (guests get sole use of whole site) yet close to many attractions and nearby towns. The accommodation is designed mainly for up to 5 people - double bed in one room and 3 singles in another but can sleep 7 at a squeeze. No pets please. The space It can sleep up to 8 with a a fold away single bed and the sofa in the living room is also a double bed should it be needed. But 8 will make you feel very cramped so best to regard it as 5 maybe 6 people place (if the double room people don't mind sharing with the fold away bed). It has all the home comforts you will want with fully equipped kitchen, shower and bath, TV and DVD and Super fast fibre wifi. The cottage has full central heating and also a log fire stove with free logs provided should you wish to use it. Ballyboe is fully and safely enclosed in its own grounds so is very child friendly. It has a drive with off street parking for added security and safety. Guests get sole use of cottage and surrounding area and nearest neighbours during stay are 100 metres away. Out the back of the cottage you have your very own 6 acre field to explore complete with a fairy forest and its very own bluebell wood and there may be a couple of friendly horses in the field when you come and if so they love it if you feed them carrots during your stay! The cottage is well fenced from the field though so the horses stay in the field. Beyond that again there is another 5 acres of magical forest planted by Tony in 2007 that you are also free to explore at your leisure. Not many places you can go to find such a fantastic traditional Donegal cottage and 11 acres of grounds to go with it all in the price! Guest access TV, radio, washing machine, dryer. dishwasher and all services such as heating and electricity are included within the price. Wifi is available on a pay as you go basis at very reasonable rates with guest paying Internet Provider direct via credit card. The more you use for things like Netflix and live streaming the more you pay and of course vice versa. Other things to note This is a no smoking residence so smoking is not allowed anywhere on the cottage or its premises so no smokers please.
