Description
My place is in the heart of the Italian countryside. You’ll love it because of the pristine nature and free wildlife, the amazing food and its proximity to many Italian tourist hotspots including beaches and ancient towns. It's an ideal destination for couples, families (with kids) and solo adventurers – anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful escape from the hubbub of the city. The space The house is located in the heart of the WWF nature reserve "Ghirardi", a 370-hectare nature reserve located in the Province of Parma, Emilia-Romagna. Ghirardi is an extraordinary natural paradise, boasting many types of free wildlife and amazing walking/hiking opportunities, both on and off marked trails. The WWF offers many guided opportunities for discovering the nature and learning about local customs, including the popular night walks. Ghirardi is also conveniently located near many wonderful tourist hotspots, including the world-famous beaches at Cinque Terre, the historic city of Parma and culturally as well as gastronomically significant towns such as Lucca, Bologna and Pisa. The house is a semi-detached house that is part of a small cluster of four antique stone and wood houses that have been restored with care and attention to tradition, offering an experience that incorporates all modern living comforts within a traditional setting. (The other houses are also available for rent – you can check them out by going on my Airbnb profile.) Outside, there are two stone ovens, available for cooking pizza, bread and others in the classic Italian style. Each one of the other houses has its own space outside where you can enjoy meals in the open and take in the spectacular view. The houses are located in the heart of a wildlife reserve and a variety of wild animals such as deer, boars, hares can be observed in their natural habitat, especially during the mating season (September and October). Bird-watchers will spot myriad different bird species. Other things to note Guests will find basic ingredients in the house in order to prepare a simple dinner (pasta, tomato sauce, oil, salt) and breakfast (tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, jam) upon their arrival. Most of the shops are open from 8.30-12.30/13.00 and from 16.00-19.30; they are closed on Thursday afternoons. Two supermarkets (Carrefour, Piazza Farnese, Borgotaro and In's, Via A. De Gasperi, (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) Albareto) open all day round from Monday to Saturday and on Sunday mornings. Guests are kindly asked to check-in by 16.00:19.00. If necessary, a later check-in can be arranged (please make sure to notify us by message in advance), but we would ask for a fee of €15 for every additional hour (but not later than 11.30 pm) in order to cover the overtime for the person who will meet you with the keys. The fee can be paid upon arrival Registration Details IT034006B54JSWUX6M
