Sheridan, fought Confederate troops under the command of Lieutenant General Jubal A. Early during the Battle of Berryville on September 3rd through 4th, 1864. The Historic Rosemont Manor has a rich history of famous guests including seven U.S. presidents, Hollywood movie stars, and world-renowned figures such as Albert Einstein and Charles Lindbergh. All bedrooms in the William McKinley Guest House are named after famous officers that fought in the Battle of Rosemont (also known as the Battle of Berryville) or had a major presence in the Northern Shenandoah Valley during the time of the battle.
