Casa Mirella

A nice mini apartment in Cannalonga, in the heart of Cilento, 550 meters above sea level and about 15 minutes by car from the wonderful Cilento beaches, such as Acciaroli, Pioppi, Ascea, Palinuro, Camerota, Scario... The fully furnished structure offers a studio with 4 beds, a mini kitchenette (equipped mostly for breakfast), an toilet with a wardrobe, a bathroom and a balcony overlooking the mountain. Guest access The small town of Cannalonga enjoys an extraordinary geographical position. An ancient village suspended between seas and mountains, at the foot of Mount Gelbison, considered Mount Sacred, a destination for numerous pilgrims and with a unique view. You can reach it on foot, for lovers of nature and trekking, through the ancient trails. On the main square of the village, where you can spend the pleasant summer evenings, overlook the Mogrovejo Ducal Palace and the Church, with centuries of history, and a little further down the valley is the Palazzo Torrusio. In the village itself and nearby there is a wide selection of excellent restaurants, pizzerias and farm stays where you can taste typical dishes of the area. Cannalonga is also called "The village of Frecagnola", because every year, in the second week of September, the Fiera della Frecagnola is held, where tourists from all over Italy, dating back to the 15th century, whose typical dishes are fusilli and goat boil. In the hills of the village there are also two wonderful dams, chestnut groves and centuries-old beech trees with water springs and plains where raw goats, sheep and cows graze. Pastors carry on the traditions of transhumance and produce cheeses, mozzarella, and podolici caciocavalli.
