Each room in the Gufler Mansion is uniquely furnished, and provides comfortable elegance. The French Bedroom also includes private access to our Bridal Room, a bright, airy room with plenty of natural light to get ready for a big event. Our home is very unique. Construction began on the mansion in 1915, at the behest of Albert Henry Gufler. The original woodwork highlights the updated amenities of the home. Throughout the home you will find glimpses of history intertwined with modern enhancements. The Gufler Mansion boasts several full kitchens, a library, dining room, parlor, banquet room, and sun porches that are all available to each of our guests. It's a lovely way to meet fellow travelers, but there's plenty of space in the 10,000 sq ft mansion to find a quiet space for yourself. We love interacting with and getting to know all of our guests, however we totally understand that some guest may want to keep to themselves. We live in the detached Carriage House on the property, and so we won't be in your hair, but we are available should you need us. We are also happy to communicate via text, phone, email, or app. Our home is conveniently located within walking distance of the Emporia State University campus, the hospital, and Emporia's historic downtown. Enjoy a stroll down Commercial Street - recently named by USA Today as the best Main Street in the USA! The Gufler Mansion is also an event venue. There may sometimes be small private events scheduled (for example a cocktail hour with about 30 guests) for the banquet room in the Mansion.
