1893 village farmhouse with pool
Located in quaint Millerton, NY (one of the coolest towns in America, NY Times), close to great restaurants, biker/hiker heaven- Harlem Valley Rail Trail, Moviehouse and Metro North. Chef's kitchen, salt water pool, sleeps 8. Keep in mind this is our family home, not strictly a rental. Our personal affects are in the home. Millerton is just a great town with lots of character. Millerton is host to the local music and art scene. Wassaic project is also very close. Millerton is home to Harney Tea , the tasting room in town is basically at the bottom of our driveway. Between the farm to table restaurants, many affordable and eclectic antique stores, amazing music and art scene, farmers market, and the rail trail, this town is a pleasure to spend the day in. Have your morning coffee at Irving Farm Coffee House (they roast here in Millerton!). Rent a boat at Twin Lakes, hike Bash Bish Falls, even go paragliding in Boston Corners up the road! Sharon Playhouse features productions all summer long. Bikes are available upon request. You are also in reach of Great Barrington, Rhinebeck, Red Hook, Salisbury and many other great surrounding towns with so much to offer! Getting Around The Wassaic train station (metro north) is 20 minutes south of Millerton. Taxi service is available. It is very feasible for bikers to bring your bike on the train and go straight to the house via the paved rail trail! I usually stay locally if there are any problems or questions. Great restaurants, antiques stores, movie theatre and the Harlem Valley Rail Trail as well as cross country skiing and Catamount with hiking and zip lining. You can walk to all village amenities. Driveway is tricky. It is located directly under the red light. Go up shared drive and park behind red fence. Sorry no pets due to allergies.
