Berry Head Farm Cottage

Beautiful self contained cottage in the heart of Berry Head Nature Reserve, with a stunning half acre walled garden, beautiful views & 2 mins walk to the woods to access the South West Coast Path. Just a mile walk into Brixham harbour, with its blue flag beach, fabulous restaurants & historic fish market. The cottage has its own gate entrance for extra privacy and has a double bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living room. Unfortunately no dogs allowed as we have guinea fowl roaming. The space One bedroom cottage, with extra sofa bed in living room, situated on the very edge of the Berry Head National Nature reserve. You will have the sole use of a beautiful half acre walled garden with patio and deck area. You have to walk into our garden to access the cottage front door, but we won't disturb you and our house is a long, long way away. New for 2023: Sky Glass TV with all the standard Sky channels and the ability to use Netflix, Amazon Prime etc (you must use your own log in details for the extra streaming services) Guest access Private patio with BBQ, large walled garden with private gate onto road on the edge of the woods. You will need to walk down some stone steps to access the garden and across 100 meters of grass to enter the cottage Other things to note When you arrive there will be a welcome pack with bread, milk, eggs and butter so you don't have to worry too much about breakfast in the morning. There is also tea, fresh and instant coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and oil provided for cooking There is no private parking for the cottage, but there is public street parking a few minutes walk down the hill from the cottage. These 5 parking spaces are often used by dog-walkers and visitors during the day, but are always empty at night. The road leading to the cottage and garden is very dark at night, and I mean very dark! No streetlights or anything, so please make sure you have a torch on your phone or a separate torch if you plan going out at night. Being so close to the Berry Head nature reserve there is a lot of wildlife. Badgers visit the garden frequently, there is a resident buzzard in the woods who flies overhead, a deer visits very occasionally and the cottage is on the flight path of rare greater horseshoe bats. We also have guinea fowl who wander round the garden.
