Just outside Bala, in the heart of Eryri, this is North Wales at its quieter, more beautiful pace. The space A cabin with a story Caban y Saer was hand-built by my dad, Mick, a carpenter by trade. What began as a family project became a little retreat designed around the things we love most about this corner of Wales — the river, the trees, the quiet and the simple pleasure of slowing down. There are steps to the front entrance, but a ramp can be arranged at the rear of the property, providing level access directly into the bedroom. Parking is directly outside the cabin, making arrival and unloading easy. The cabin may suit guests with limited mobility and wheelchair users. Other things to note Caban y Saer sits in the quiet village of Llanfor, just ¾ mile from the lakeside town of Bala, in the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. Bala is home to Llyn Tegid, the largest natural lake in Wales, and is a wonderful base for exploring the mountains, lakes and landscapes of North Wales. Whether you're here for adventure, walking, watersports, exploring or simply slowing down, there's plenty to discover on our doorstep.
