2 Bedroom Spacious Farm Cottage

The cottage sits within a ninety acre farm, Higher Easthams Farm.The market town of Crewkerne is a pretty, ham stone town that sits in beautiful countryside perfect for all manner of outdoor pursuits. The River Parrett and trail runs through the farm . We are only 30 minutes drive from the world heritage site that is the Jurassic coast, which has the towns of Lyme Regis famous for its fossils and Bridport which are popular for the beach and cafes. The space All photos are taken at and on the farm. We are a working farm and guests are welcome to wander at their leisure. The former dairy is a spacious, open plan detached annexe with its own private entrance and parking. The property has a large kitchen dining area, there is free Wifi, a large living area with smart T.V and comfortable desk space for working. The two bedrooms each have double beds, the larger of the two being Queen size and incorporates an en suite with bath, the second bathroom comprises a walk in shower. Other things to note The farm sits on 85 acres of permanent pasture, arable, and 5 acres of woodland. In the spring and summer we make silage and hay and crop the arable. We have five acres of woodland, which we manage and from where we get timber for fuel. The wood is mostly Ash , Beech and Laurel, which supplies cover for deer. Foxes, badgers and rabbits inhabit the ground, woodpeckers ,rooks and squirrel the trees. Owls hoot at night. There is a perfect area in the wood, which can be lit at night and where guests are welcome to build a campfire and barbecue. We do (weather permitting). As I write we have a dachshund dog, a very white golden retriever a chicken a ginger cat and a small flock of sheep. Hot air balloons are able to take off from the farm (weather permitting). Bookings to fly are made separate from the farm .If interested we can assist in booking and supply contact details of the hot air balloon company. No better way to enjoy the incredible countryside that is South Somerset.
