Casas Rurales Cortijo Balzaín are located in the Sierra Nevada National Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, and only 8 km from the wonderful city of Granada. Balzaín is a place full of charm, peace and quiet, ideal for rest and enjoyment of nature. Its rural houses remind us of a small village surrounded by nature, snow-covered mountains, pine forests and rural roads that invite you to stroll. From its privileged location you can see splendid views of the city of the Alhambra and the peaks of Sierra Nevada and from its viewpoints you can see magnificent sunsets with the city of Granada in the background while breathing the peace and silence of the fall of the afternoon. At dusk, the city lights and all the villages of the valley, spread like a blanket at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, will invite you to remain in expectant silence. •The origin of Balzaín dates back to before the 17th century. This old farmhouse has been renovated into 9 rural houses, through a restoration that has preserved its original structure, with stone walls and wooden and cane ceilings, maintaining all the rustic and authentic flavor of its past. • The names of the houses evoke their ancient uses and remind us of the rural life of our ancestors: the block, the stable, the barn, the barn, the corral... •Rural houses integrated into a beautiful rural complex, next to a water spring and surrounded by rocks, walks and avenues, with the rustic and authentic atmosphere of an Andalusian farmhouse. •Inside we will find simple equipment, but with all the comfort we demand today. •In its facilities you can enjoy its saltwater pool, mini-farm, children's and sports area, and its museum of plows, threshing and farming utensils. Cortijo Balzaín has the official category of Superior Rural House and has the 3 spikes rating of ASETUR (Spanish Spanish Rural Tourism). It is also certified with ISO 14.001 for environmental management and with the Andalusia Natural Park brand. Guest access We have a BBQ area (subject to use in summer, as established by the authorities), children's area, mini-farm and salt chlorination pool. Other things to note This house is totally independent, although it is located within an estate where there are other accommodations. It has a large terrace, ideal for enjoyment.
