Guest access The rectory was completely renovated in 2016 and is operated by the association Neues Landleben e.V. It is a multifunctional house for the inhabitants of Ziegendorf, the neighboring municipalities and visitors. Income from the rental benefits the association and is used to cover the operating costs of the house and to fulfill the statutory charitable purposes of the association. These include, for example, the care and management of the Ziegendorfer Streuobstwiese with 100 fruit trees, the support of the Ziegendorfer youth fire brigade and the "Sonnenschein" kindergarten. Other things to note Ziegendorf is centrally located between the metropolises of Hamburg (1.5 hours away) and Berlin (1.5 hours away) near the highway and still offers a lot of peace and quiet. The wooded surroundings lend themselves for long walks. Lake Treptow is close to Marnitz, Lake Wockersee in Parchim. A nice forest bath is located in Grabow (18 km). To get to the lake district you need about 45 minutes. For a trip to the Baltic Sea, you must plan a full 1 hour. The nearest shopping facilities for everyday goods are in Marnitz (8 km) and Berge (10 km). Medical practices are located in Marnitz, Berge and the surrounding small towns.
