Hampstead Retreat

Our place is close to golf, beaches,and the intracoastal waterway. We have great accommodations for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids) and military personnel. We are 15 minutes from the beach, 20 minutes from the city of Wilmington, and 30 minutes from Jacksonville. The space We live in a quiet neighborhood with very little traffic. Our yard has many trees and backs up to the marsh. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the apartment and the yard including a fire pit out back by the marsh. Other things to note Parking is in front of the garage. We have room for two vehicles. Keep in mind that we have a long narrow driveway. Be prepared to back out. We provide all linens with the exception of beach towels. Please do not take our towels to the beach. We provide coffee both regular and decaf for the drip coffee maker. There is also a Keurig but we do not provide pods. You may want to bring along your favorites. We offer a smart tv and WiFi. Please bring your passwords for streaming services. Please note that our property has well water that is filtered through a water softening system. It may not smell the same as yours at home. Our water is tested regularly and is cleaner than most public water systems. We are beekeepers with two hives on the property. They are located approximately 200 feet from the apartment behind our house and down by the marsh. Please feel free to go back and observe, but do not disturb. There is very little danger of getting stung unless you are actively interfering with the work our little buddies are doing. We cannot welcome any animals. If you have a service animal, please contact us before booking with documentation that the animal is trained to perform a service for a person in your party with a disability. If you have an emotional support animal, you will be charged an extra $75 cleaning fee to be paid before your arrival.
