This historic laborer's cottage has been restored to offer comfort and self-contained convenience. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a bathroom with shower. The French doors leading out from the lounge open up onto a large private patio, with braai facilities, wood fired hot tub and views over the Stanford Valley. An indoor fireplace ensures that the cottage stays cozy in cooler weather. While we are pet friendly, we only allow one pet per unit. The farm offers horse-riding, hiking. You can also have a swim in a farm dam, try your hand at fishing, or simply lie in bed and listen to the birds. The on site Tasting Room restaurant has a reputation for laid back fun, with the emphasis on fresh and inventive food of an exceptionally high standard. The chalkboard menu changes daily with great specials according to what is locally fresh and available, including items from our own vegetable garden. Wine tasting is offered at the Wine Shop or at The Tasting Room, both of which are open seven days a week from 8.00-5.00 pm. The farm also produces Proteas and Pincushions, which are endemic to South Africa, so from August through November the farm is filled with these colourful blooms.
