Description

Relax and unwind at this quiet home-away-from-home. High-speed internet is available if you plan on working. Then step outside to enjoy the outdoor adventures at your doorstep. Liberty Lodge is located in a friendly neighborhood on the edge of the National Forest. Although shops and restaurants are only a five- to ten-minute drive away, the area feels peaceful and secluded. The space ENTRYWAY: Welcome to Liberty Lodge! Kick your boots off and hang your jackets in the large entry space. LIVING ROOM: This bright and spacious space begs you to relax and put your feet up by the fire. The huge coffee table makes a great gathering spot for games and putting together puzzles. KITCHEN: The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a gourmet chef needs. You will find a four-burner electric range, oven, plenty of pots/pans/cooking utensils, blender, toaster, microwave, crockpot, rice cooker, dishwasher, baking dishes, two cutting boards, set of sharp knives, wine glasses & bottle opener, and plenty of dishes/cutlery. Coffee lovers have a drip coffee pot and bean grinder at their disposal (BYOB – bring your own beans or pick up a bag of delicious, locally-roasted Blue Star Coffee). There is also a Nespresso machine for espresso lovers (bring your own capsules - original size). DINING AREA: The large dining table seats six and has room for three at bar stools. PATIO: In the summer, you can grill up a feast on the propane BBQ, dine alfresco at the outdoor table, and relax in a hammock among the pine trees. (Due to snow, these amenities are generally in storage from November to April.) DOWNSTAIRS BEDROOM: The private bedroom downstairs has a queen bed and a window that faces south towards the national forest. A large walk-in closet has ample room for storing clothes. DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM: This large bathroom has a slate-tiled walk-in shower and a washer/dryer should you need to do a little laundry during your stay. UPSTAIRS LOFT: Gaze at the beautiful view of the forest from the queen bed in the loft. (Feels like a treehouse!) Here you will also find a second, private bathroom with a tub for soaking sore muscles at the end of the days’ adventures. If you have more than four guests, there is ample room to set up the inflatable mattress with a memory foam topper. WORK FROM HOME: We promise you won’t want to work too much while you’re at Liberty Lodge, but a writing desk with a peekaboo forest view is located in the loft upstairs just in case. ENTERTAINMENT CENTER: The loft has a comfortable sofa, flat-screen TV, DVD player, and stereo. Although Liberty Lodge is in a rural area with no cable service, our high-speed internet is sufficient to stream movies/shows using the supplied Chromecast. DVDs are also available to rent from nearby. SUMMER GUESTS: Please note that there is NO air conditioning at our home. There are four fans provided to help keep you cool. Guest access You will be able to enjoy the entire house during your stay. Other things to note LICENSING: Our cabin is licensed with Okanogan County to operate as a vacation rental. This means it is inspected annually by the Department of Health to ensure compliance with health/safety guidelines. In addition, we follow all recommended cleaning protocols (COVID-19 included) to ensure the health and safety of our guests and cleaning staff. WINTER DRIVING: In winter, snowfall can make driving challenging. The access road to Liberty Lodge is flat and the driveway has a gentle grade. Both are professionally plowed after heavy snowfall. It is wise, however, to bring chains for your vehicle. FIRE, SMOKE, and ACTS OF GOD POLICY: Finally, it is important to know that weather, wildfires, unplanned road closures, and other natural conditions may impact your visit to the Methow Valley. We do not make exceptions to our cancellation policy if you decide to cancel or want to reschedule due to an “act of God,” unless Airbnb's extenuating circumstances policy applies – which is a rare occurrence. Bear in mind that our cancellation policy is "strict." This means if you cancel at least 7 days in advance, you will be refunded 50% of the nightly rental rate and the cleaning fee. If you do end up cancelling, we are meeting you halfway by losing the other 50%. If you cancel less than seven days in advance, there is no refund. If you are concerned about losing money due to needing to cancel for any reason, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND PURCHASING TRAVEL INSURANCE WHEN BOOKING. Please do not expect us to be your insurance policy. We also encourage folks who have respiratory issues to not plan a stay anywhere in the Methow Valley during the typical fire/smoke season. (Generally the month of August has a higher potential for fires in the surrounding area.)
