Description
We offer two double bedrooms, one en suite, and one with a shower room. The first at £95 per night, the second at a further £90 per night. If there are two of you and you want separate rooms please be sure to secure the second room by booking as if you are THREE guests! Guests have their own sitting room. Breakfast is served in our farmhouse kitchen. Plas Uchaf has beautiful views overlooking the Conwy estuary, and the foothills of Snowdonia. Our house is not suitable for children under 8 yrs The space Plas Uchaf is a family home on a working stock farm where my husband David and I live. We have four children (all grown up now), 7 dogs, 2 cats, 5 chickens, 1 guinea fowl, horses, pigs, sheep and cows. The track to our farm house is directly off the B5381 with a sign reading Plas Uchaf on a telegraph pole. Follow the track and park in the yard, come through the garden gate and you will see the front door. David or I will be on hand to meet you. The en suite bedroom has a king size bed, this can be split into two singles if necessary, ( please let me know if singles are required). The 2nd bedroom has a king size bed and its own shower, toilet and wash basin across the landing. There is fridge space available (for the makings of a packed lunch for example) and continental breakfast is provided. Tea and Coffee facilities are available on the landing between the bedrooms. We have log burning stoves in the sitting room and hall for cosy and welcoming warmth in winter. Please be aware that once you have booked, whether for one or four guests, the space provided is yours and no one else’s. The house was built in and around 1573 (Elizabethan) but the staircase was added slightly later. It is believed that the site has had a dwelling on it since the 11 hundreds when Conwy castle was built. Just a note to say; we have had quite a few guests who have booked for one night only (which is fine with us) but have then regretted not booking for longer. Our house is a unique stay with wonderful views and easy access to the pleasures of North Wales, so perhaps consider a longer stay with us :) Guest access Guests have access to a sitting room with TV. Continental breakfast will be served in our family kitchen. Please explore the gardens around the house where you will find a cute seating area with fire pit, birds singing and glorious views. There are great walks straight from the front door and if you plan on exploring the farm don’t forget to bring boots as it can be muddy! There are parts of the farm that are out of bounds, this is for your own safety so please check with David or Nicky first before setting off. The kitchen can be used for making packed lunches. There is a place where wet coats and boots can be dried and a shed where bikes can be stored. Please ensure that you make reservations for your evening meals. In these current times North Wales is very busy so we advise booking restaurants well in advance of your stay. We stress the importance of this as we do NOT accommodate takeaway or evening meals at our home. During your stay I or my husband will be on hand to welcome you and help out with any queries. We want you to enjoy your stay in North Wales and to have good memories of your time with us. Other things to note Due to the Covid rules we will take extra care to keep our distance which means we won’t help carry luggage upstairs. We will guide you to your rooms with this consideration in mind. All surfaces will have been wiped down with anti bacterial spray including hand pump soaps etc., Please leave used towels in the bath. There is hand sanitiser for your use. We ask for you to use it on arrival and when returning from any trips out.
