Also, home to the local working sheepdog demonstration team. Located in a small village on the Pennine Way; the renowned Hardraw force, England's highest waterfall is a 5 minute stroll. The Green Dragon Inn is less than 5 minutes walk. The small market town of Hawes is a 20 minute walk, with plenty of shops and pubs. The space The hut is rustic and comes with a double bed, wood burning stove (and logs), tea and coffee tray, with locally sourced breakfast including our own sausages, bacon & eggs. Outside is a small fenced patio area with seating. A lovely place to enjoy a cup of tea or glass of wine! The toilet and wash basin (cold water only - no shower) are a few feet away. Guest access There is plenty of free roadside parking. Access to the Shepherd's Hut a is across a path with uneven surfaces. A torch would be useful as we have dark skies! The toilet is accessed through a squeeze stile with a step down. Other things to note This is a working farm. We are happy to explain the farming season and what we are up to. In spring time, there are lambs abound, summer brings the joy of hay time (often in the rain!) and agricultural shows; and the autumn months are sale time. We are always busy and there is always something to do on the farm! We have plenty of stories to share, and tips on where to go and what to see. We are keen to support local produce and our breakfast features a fine local selection. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate dogs.
