Sailing-themed private bedroom is perfect retreat!

Welcome to “Ocean Breeze,” a cozy sailing-themed retreat designed to give you a wonderful stay in our centrally located house in beautiful San Diego. Free amenities include filtered reverse-osmosis drinking water, and washer and dryer with included laundry detergent and dryer sheets. The space Private Bedroom Our “Ocean Breeze” private bedroom is decorated with a sailing theme and is perfect for one person. Get a great night’s sleep on our deluxe queen-sized bed, and enjoy a wide laptop-friendly desk, dresser with mirror, relaxing glide-rocker chair, and large mirrored closet. The sheets are 100%-cotton, and the sheets AND pillows are washed in hot water for each new guest! The room comes with a snack station which includes a coffee maker, refillable filtered water, an assortment of coffees and teas, snacks, and breakfast treats (instant oatmeal, toaster pastries and breakfast bars). The door has a lock with your own personal key, and the bedroom window looks out into the backyard with a nice view of the pool. Two Shared Bathrooms You will share a nicely renovated full bathroom (wide tub with multi-function showerhead) as well as a half bathroom with one or two other guests (depending on occupancy). Clean bath towels are included, and you have your own shelf in the medicine cabinet, a drawer in the large vanity, and a shelf in the shower for your items. Guest access Common areas in the house are shared so make yourself at home! David and Katie generally hang out in the family room so the living room is available for guests if desired, or you can just hang out in your room -- whichever you prefer! Our kitchen is available for your use, including an electric double oven, electric stovetop, microwave and toaster oven. Cookware, dishes and utensils are readily available. We have a reverse-osmosis and alkaline drinking water system available in the kitchen. You also have the use of a separate full-size refrigerator that is specifically for guests’ use. Washer and dryer use is included for free and we supply laundry detergent and dryer sheets at no extra charge or you can purchase your own at a store. Backyard Feel free to spend time outside lounging around our pool, reading a book, working on your laptop, or just relaxing and soaking up the sun. The pool is unheated but is usually warm enough for swimming during the summer months. Other things to note Room Cleanliness When searching for a place to stay, whether a bed-and-breakfast or a hotel, you always wonder just how clean the bedding is. Several years ago, we watched an investigative story about three hotel chains that often did not change the sheets between guests! Unfortunately, we personally found that to be true ourselves. So after every guest, we wash the sheets, towels and even the pillows in hot water and dry them on high heat. We also use all natural cleaners, laundry detergent and dryer sheets.
