The island is famous for its glassmaking tradition and just a five-minute water-bus ride to Venice. This spacious, bright studio apartment has air-conditioning. Its kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, electric stove, oven, electric kettle and refrigerator, dishware and pots and pans of various sizes. It has a table with four chairs. The bathroom has a box shower. Linens are provided, including towels and sheets for the comfortable bed. In addition, the flat is centrally located in downtown Murano, in a lively, picturesque area where one can find excellent typical restaurants, cafés, bars, glass shops and supermarkets. Public transportation is easily accessible from the flat. Two water-bus stops (Faro and Colonna) are less than a five-minute walk. Guests can catch a waterbus directly to other islands in the lagoon or to central Venice. How to get to Murano: From the Marco Polo airport, Santa Lucia train station, and Piazzale Roma auto terminal there are public boats from early morning till late at night that takes one directly to Murano, Venice and nearby islands. The Piazzale Roma auto terminal and the Santa Lucia train station’s boats are run by ACTV with lines number 3 and 4.2 going to Murano. The trip takes from 20 to 30 minutes respectively. Number 3 is the faster line. Marco Polo Airport is serviced by ALILAGUNA boats. Both the blue and red lines will take you to Murano. Blue is annual, red seasonal. The trip takes 30 minutes. One may also take a private taxi from the above locations which is a faster, more costly option.
