Spacious beach house with 4 double bedrooms all ensuite with bath and shower. An option of 2 twin beds or a king per room. Lovely, large open plan kitchen/dining room with adjoining outdoor patio for long lazy meals. Enjoy the view and sounds of the sea from the light-filled lounge. Spend time relaxing around the fire-pit at night. Relax on the wooden deck while the kids play in the sparkling, child-friendly swimming pool. Close to wonderful restaurants, shops , golfing and fun activities. The space Although there is not air-conditioning, there are fans in the rooms. There is usually a lovely breeze from the sea especially in the late afternoons. The swimming pool does have a safety net should you have children who are not water safe. Please note it is not fenced off and we strongly recommend watching young children at all times. The house has an alarm system and outside beams connected to an armed response company. As a result of repeated power outages in South Africa we have installed solar power. This will provide lighting, all security, some plugs and Wifi during power outages. It does not supply the electric oven but the stove has a gas hob for cooking and there is always the braai (barbeque) outside. We do provide beach towels, umbrellas and basic beach toys. We do NOT provide snorkeling gear for hygienic reasons. Guest access The entire downstairs section of the house is available for use. The upstairs is kept for private family use. The family does not stay there when guests are in the house. You have complete privacy. Other things to note Please note that we do have uncapped Wifi through Mweb at a speed of 10mb on the property. The wifi code is on the back of the rooter which is situated near the telephone in the entrance hall. The details are available in the house file . There is a file containing information on the area available to all guests on arrival. Within the file are house alarm details, restaurants, shopping, recreational activities. Emergency numbers yet for doctors, hospital are in the file. Kwa-Zulu Natal game parks are a 2 hour drive north on the highway. Our housekeeper, Isabel, lives on the property at the top in her own small house. She will welcome you and show you around, give you keys and explain the alarm system. Isabel will come in every day to make beds, clean the house and wash dishes at breakfast. She does not come in in the evenings. These duties are included in your daily rate. Should you wish Isabel to cook, wash and iron clothes or babysit these additional duties will be for the guest's expense. The cost of additional duties are listed in the house file. Should you wish to leave Isabel a tip that is entirely up to you.
