Mamboz II: private beachfront cabana, half-board

Awake to the sound of the Indian Ocean! Simply constructed from wood using traditional methods this is an ensuite beachfront cabana situated on the idyllic, unspoiled, Kahandamodera Beach near Tangalle and moments from Kalimetia bird sanctuary. Standing on stilts in a peaceful coconut garden and overlooking the beach and ocean beyond, it has a large double bed plus a single for a third guest. Our rates are half-board and include delicious home-cooked breakfast and dinner. The space Mamboz is an owner-run beach retreat and offers a true "away from it all" experience. The natural environment offers tranquility and relaxation within the lush, tropical backdrop of this relatively undeveloped stretch of coast. Bliss! Maboz comprises just four letting rooms so you will never feel crowded or overwhelmed. The rooms are spread out on a beautiful, secluded beachfront plot, dotted with coconut palms and visited by an abundance of wild-life including tropical birds, peacocks and of course, monkeys. The grounds offer multiple places to lounge and relax both in and out of the sun. We can arrange traditional Sri Lanka Ayurvedic massages as well as helping organise excursions and transport. Guest access Our guests have free access to the grounds, the open-plan restaurant/dining/chilling area and of course the beach. The only areas that we ask you not to enter unless invited are the other guests' bedrooms and the staff's private quarters. Other things to note Our open-plan restaurant serves fresh cooked, locally sourced traditional Sri Lankan fare which is complimented with an extensive drinks menu. Your room rate includes breakfast and dinner.
