Utopia Farmstay, Nashik is a waterfront property overlooking the serene Gangapur Lake on one side and the majestic Sahyadri mountain ranges on the other. The 10 cottages for guests, aesthetically designed with pure seasoned teak-wood sourced from the waadas of Maharashtra. Each room has been painstakingly decorated with authentic tribal (adivasi) artwork, to give you a feel of an actual village home from the heartlands of rural Maharashtra. The space For the last couple of years, the empty nest syndrome was really getting to us (Adwait and Uttara). And that's kind of what gave birth to Utopia Farmstay. It was a refreshing way for us to meet people from different walks of life and thankfully, so far, hosting each and every one of our guests has been such a delight. Our rooms do not have televisions and our property does not have wi-fi. While we understand that the idea of not having television (or wi-fi) can be intimidating to many, we believe that this is how we're different from the rest of the weekend getaways. Over the last couple of months, because there are no other ways of entertaining oneself, people have come out of their rooms and spoken to one another, engaged with one another and really gotten to know one another. They've all come as strangers but left as friends. One of our guests actually pointed this out to us and we couldn't agree more. She said, "If we did have televisions or Netflix, we would have probably locked ourselves in the rooms and not spoken to the other people. Maybe exchanged a smile or pleasantries (at most) during breakfast." But instead, they left getting to befriend ten other people that weekend. Guest access We believe that the centre lawn is the heart of our property. Grab a chair or just lay there lounging in the sun! A small organic garden occupies a corner of the property. There is also a common outdoor (enclosed) seating area with a large antique chess board & carrom board. A narrow pathway will lead you to a wonderful walk towards the lake. Other things to note Guests must do an RT PCR test up to 48 hours prior to check-in. Any guest with COVID or COVID symptoms will not be admitted. Check-ins without a negative RT PCR (done 48 hours prior to arrival) will not be admitted.
