An 1830s stagecoach stop updated with modern amenities, Dowling House is set in the rolling fields and forests of the countryside. Guests will appreciate easy access to Prince Edward County, Sandbanks, local vineyards, and the cities of Napanee, Belleville, and Kingston. Only five minutes to Hwy 401. The space Dowling House sits atop a hill overlooking the Napanee River Valley and Mohawk Bay on the Bay of Quinte. Built in the 1830s as a stagecoach stop and one of the oldest structures in the region, the house has been renovated to bring out the original timber frame and pumpkin board flooring. On the ground floor, you will have access to a kitchen with basic cooking utensils and amenities and a large window looking on to the old Kingston to York Road. The dining room is large enough to seat all of your guests and the expansive living room offers cozy recliners, 60" UHD television with all streaming services and sound system, couches, sofabed, and woodstove. Guest access Guests will have the main House with three bedrooms to themselves, as well as access to the 1 acre property with lawns, campfire spot, gardens, and lots of trees. Inquiries about access to laundry are welcome. A den/fourth bedroom with sofa bed and television may be available to accommodate larger groups, depending on availability. Other things to note Bookings for 9 guests or fewer will be provided only with access to the main house with kitchen, living and dining rooms, two full bathrooms, three bedrooms, backyard and gardens. Laundry available upon request. Bookings of ten or more guests will also be provided with access to the attached den and fourth bedroom.
