In absolute tranquility in the heart of the hamlet of Pierre Grosse in the Queyras Regional Natural Park at an altitude of 1,926 meters, a true 17th-century Queyras farmhouse partially arranged on two levels with a large living/dining room and kitchen on the ground floor, three bedrooms, bathroom and toilet upstairs, with an interior courtyard and adjoining garden. Other things to note EQUIPMENT : Electric oven, microwave oven, electric hotplates, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, squeegee and stone, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, TV, DVD player, hi-fi system, board games, cards, DVD, CD... Sleeps : 3 double beds 140 x 190 and 2 single beds 80 x 190 ; 5 double duvets. Bed linen, bathroom linen and household linen not provided ; additional rental available on request. Summer activities: The activities are mainly devoted to the countless and unforgettable hikes that the region offers, both family in the mountain pastures and around the many mountain lakes, as well as more sporty by the tour of the high peaks (Mont Viso, Cutillante, Grand Queyras, Rochebrune, etc.). Other activities include horseback riding or donkey riding on trails and GR, water activities in the river (canoeing, rafting, canyoning), trout fishing, mountain bike tours, paragliding and mountaineering. The proximity to Italy (Piedmont region), just 12km from the hamlet of Pierre Grosse via the Col Agnel, also allows excellent getaways to discover the border slope. Winter : Molines – Saint Véran ski area 1350m – 2900m above sea level : the combination of exceptional snow conditions, a remarkable protected site thanks to the Regional Natural Park and maximum sunshine make the highest valley of the Hautes-Alpes a unique and original place for a quality downhill skiing for family use (36km of downhill ski slopes (30 slopes) and 29km of cross-country ski slopes). The hamlet of Pierre Grosse is located in front of the ski slopes, which are accessible directly by ski from the hamlet via a small descent leading to the first ski lift. A shuttle bus also connects the hamlet to the ski resort.
