Welcome to our charming Tiny House Retreat offering a unique escape from the hustle & bustle of daily life on 3.1 scenic acres. Situated just beyond the edge of town around a bend that makes it feel very private & surrounded by nature, it is a short walk/bike ride to the downtown area w/restaurants & shopping. Sip your morning coffee overlooking the Hudson River & at the end of your day, unwind under the starry Adirondack skies around the campfire after enjoying a beautiful view of the sunset. The space Perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or solo travelers in need of some solitude, the Riverview Run offers a tranquil setting with all the comforts you need. Available for an extended stay (think ski season). The open-concept living area is thoughtfully designed to maximize space featuring a well-equipped kitchenette (sink, refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, coffee maker, some condiments, pots, pans and silverware) and bathroom with shower. The Riverview Run is just a stone's throw away from North Creek's charming downtown, with its quaint shops, local eateries, and vibrant arts and antiques scene. Outdoor enthusiasts will delight in the proximity to Gore Mountain Ski Resort for winter adventures and endless hiking and biking trails in the warmer seasons, along with the Revolution Rail Trail featuring a unique rail biking experience and rafting trips on the Hudson River. Step outside, and you'll find yourself in a nature lover's paradise. Sip your morning coffee overlooking the Hudson River. Explore the 3.1 acres of private land, complete with a sledding hill and a fire pit with a picnic table where you can unwind under the starry Adirondack skies after enjoying a beautiful view of the sunset. In the storage shed are grilling utensils, a charcoal grill, two bicycles, a corn hole game, fishing poles and other misc. recreational gear. We offer a 27”TV with Roku and high speed WIFI to stream or work from home, free parking, a dresser and wardrobe closet, a table with two chairs situated in front of a window that has a view of the Hudson River and a selection of board games and books. The full sized futon has a mattress topper available if you prefer a softer bed. We have pillows and a blanket but you will need to provide your own sheets and towels. Please note that there is no direct access to the river from the cabin, but there is access nearby. For those of you who like what the Riverview Run has to offer, but are traveling with a larger party, we are pleased to announce that we can now accommodate up to 4 people with our new hip camping option-a separate cabin adjacent to the main cabin. “Sweet Dreams” has two additional beds inside the cabin for an additional $75/night fee. It is not available in the winter months. Power, but no water. Recreational opportunities are abundant. If you are not familiar with the area, some of our favorite activities include the following: Downhill or Cross Country Skiing at Gore Mountain Ski Center (2 miles away) or the Skibowl (1/2 mile away). Cross country skiing also at Garnet Hill. Rail Biking - One-of-a-kind excursion on custom pedal-powered railbikes. Revolution Rail Co. is located within walking distance. Raft the Hudson River on a 17 mile wilderness rafting trip, with class 3-5 rapids depending upon the season and conditions considered the Grand Daddy of NY whitewater rivers. Several outfitters are neaby, Beaver Brook Outfitters being one. Canoeing and kayaking – plenty of places. Tubing – tubes may be available. Drive up stream, tube down, then pedal back to get your car. Adirondack Adventures in North River available to hire for transport and/or tube rental. Bicycling – bikes may be available on site for use – great places to ride. Mountain Biking - Mountain Biking in the Gore Mountain Region challenges all levels of riders from aggressive, lift serviced, downhill terrain at Gore Mountain to single track cross country terrain at all our mountain bike centers. • Gore Mountain Ski Center - Mountain Bike Center • Garnet Hill Lodge - Mountain Bike Center Hiking - Thirteenth Lake, Blue Ledges on Hudson, Gore Mountain, Moxham Mountain and OK Slip Falls are nearby along with a multitude of other hikes. Or just walk out the door to local trails at the Ski Bowl Park. Ski Bowl Park recreation activities – tennis, pickleball, basketball, skating, snow tubing, etc. Swimming - there is a very nice beach at Minerva Lake, approximately 10 miles away off Route 28N. Directly across the street from the Riverview Run there is a shallow area that works for a quick dip. There are several fun swimming holes in the area including the Black Hole in Wevertown. Visit the garnet mines. Music at local venues. Visit the Natural Stone Bridges and Caves. Walk, ski or bike to Camp Santanoni in Newcomb. Visit the Interpretive Center in Newcomb and the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake. Golf at the High Peaks Golf Course in Newcomb or Cronins towards Warrensburg. Check out the fall foliage by taking a ride on the gondola at Gore. Check out the Tannery Community Center for local performing arts events. Of course you are conveniently located to Lake George, Adirondack Museum and other attractions for day trips. Fishing Thirteenth Lake for pond fishing (North River Area). This lake has huge brook trout. It can also be fished from shore along the North Side. Right side as you are walking to the Lake. There is a trail along the Lake. Hudson River (North River) for Trout. Fish across from Thirteenth Lake Road. They are in there – mainly brown trout. Flies work. Light Cahill or similar seems to work. North Creek for stream fishing – From Ski Bowl area all the way upstream from Back to Sodom Road bridge. Rainbows downstream. Brookies way upstream where Creek gets very narrow. Never been skunked there for Brookies. Directly across the street from River View Run there is a set of rapids next to shore. Almost always can catch a bass or trout there. Guest access You will have access to the entire space. There is plenty of space for parking, even if you are hauling a camper. Other things to note We are very happy that you are considering staying at the Riverview Run.
