Welcome to our beautiful rustic home above Meeks Bay on the West Shore of Tahoe! It's a cozy two story house located in a quiet neighborhood with great lake views. The house is just a few minutes to the best beach around at Meeks Bay Resort which has beautiful clear blue shimmering water and is great for kids! The space Our home has a unique round structure with 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths which makes for some amazing panoramic views not only from the deck, but from the inside as well. We just installed a brand new high end dishwasher for easy dishes cleaning! There are all natural beams are visible in the ceilings and give it a very rustic look up to the top peek. It feels like a rustic and comfortable cabin perched up above lake level with awesome views! (Our location is not recommended if you are trying to access casinos.) It is in a quiet family neighborhood. On the back side the rooms back up to the forest for a restful night's sleep. The master bedroom is upstairs with a private bath, separate sink area and private deck area. The living room, dining room and kitchen all have great views of the lake. Downstairs there is a game room with a pool table with two bedrooms off of it as well as a full bath with a laundry room with a door separating it from the bathroom. There are stairs off the street to get up and into the entry of the house but this allows for our great expansive views! (2 sets about 12 stairs each to entry) During winter the main source of heat is from two wood burning stoves. We also have electric wall heaters. Wood and kindling are supplied. We ask our renters to use the wood stoves (as electric heat gets very expensive!) We have installed a camera at our front door for security. Guest access You have access to the whole house (but not the loft). We are about 10 miles from Tahoe City with many shops and restaurants to choose from. Obexers in Homewood has boat launching ramps to allow for some great days out on the lake. Meeks Bay has a beautiful white sand beach and crystal clear blue waters! The Resort is very family friendly and typically has kyack rentals there. There is a snack bar and a small mountain lodge store as well. We are very close to the Desolation wilderness trail located at the back side of the resort across highway 89 heading up into some beautiful mountain scenery with lakes and streams for easy access. We are only about 15 minutes from beautiful Emerald Bay as well as well as several other mountain hiking trails close by. We are also very close to Ed Z'burg Sugar Pine Point State Park right down the way about 1/2 mile with beautiful hiking and biking trails. The bike path goes from our neighborhood both to Meeks Bay and on towards Tahoe City and also to the state park. Other things to note There is a loft but it is not usable for renters due to safety reasons! (Please respect this guideline!) You are agreeing to this when you approve the contract under house rules. There are no refunds for excessive snow or other environmental events (delays on plowing county/state roads due to large snow falls, power outages which are beyond our control or fire smoke present in the basin). If there are official evacuations, we would refund your rental fees. We have flash lights and basics in cupboards for any outages and the wood stoves for heat and gas bbq for cooking.
