The Tower, Okarito

The Tower is a comfortable two storey, seperate building with an upstairs bedroom with ensuite bathroom. It has excellent views of the sea and the Southern Alps. A warm, cosy and quiet space with a private garden. Free Wifi (system fully upgraded August 2021) Downstairs is the living room / kitchenette area. Upstairs and downstairs are connected by external stairs (see photos). Awesome outdoor bath - great for stargazing (new Aug 22). There are balconies on three sides of the tower. The space There is a kitchenette and living/dining area downstairs. Upstairs and downstairs are connected by external (but covered) stairs - see the photos. The kitchenette has a double hotplate, microwave oven, sink, fridge, electric jug, sandwich press, slow cooker, coffee plunger and pots/pans, crockery and cutlery. Simple meals work well. Okarito beach is a 100 metre walk away across open spaces. There are some fantastic walks around Okarito that provide amazing mountain, sea and lagoon views. There are no shops in Okarito - nearest shops / restaurants are 25 minutes away in Franz Josef Glacier. Enjoy a soak in the outdoor bath - it is private, has great views of the Alps, and is an awesome place for stargazing on a clear night. There is a gas barbecue on the deck by the outdoor bath. Things to note: * The upstairs and downstairs floors are connected by external stairs. * There is free, off-street parking in the carpark of the neighbouring kayaking business. It is a short 30 metre walk to The Tower. Detailed parking and access instructions will be sent upon booking.
