Walk 0.7 miles to the MARTA Bus Stop, for buses #47 and #48 to the MARTA "Chamblee" (Gold Line) Train Station. Or drive 15 mins. to the Brookhaven MARTA Train Station to board the Gold Line, which goes straight to Midtown, Arts Center, Downtown, and the Airport. Fifteen minutes' walk to the nature park. Guest access You have the entire space to yourself! The apartment is on a private, separate floor, above ground (no dark basement here!) in a solid brick home with a private entrance. Double doors provide extra security while you enjoy the beautiful, relaxing backyard and a very large private patio and a view of loads of hydrangeas. Park in the driveway or off-street parking on a tranquil, closed street just steps from the entrance. The Street is a closed, semi-circle, so there is minimal traffic. WALK for 3 minutes. or it's a 1-minute drive to the Shallowford Exchange Shopping Center. There are a Dry Cleaner/Alterations, Hair Salon/Barber Shop, Gas Station, Nail Salon, Massage/Kinesiology Spa, and UPS Store. There are several places to eat, including American, Chinese, Indian, and Mexican restaurants, as well as a coffee shop with indoor seating and an outdoor patio. You can relax by walking to a small labyrinth for five minutes or continuing one mile to the Audobon-certified Mary Scott Nature Park. There is a potential danger for sleepwalkers, those under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or easily disoriented. -Viewing the 15-foot drop-off to a small babbling creek in the backyard is essential. You may not initially notice it, as the rear door leads to the large patio, with a brick barrier first, followed by a dirt/gravel 3-foot landing beyond the patio, followed by flowers, bushes, and trees, then the creek behind all of that. There is another area, much more easily scene, protected by a fence. -There are four steps to the entrance, no steps inside the residence -Only registered guests are allowed; special requests are considered -Quiet times between 9:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. -No Smoking inside ($500 fine) Smoking outside or on back patio is fine. -No drugs, parties, or pets are allowed. -Like many hotels, the windows are locked as a security measure. You may remove the security feature from the inside in an emergency. Fire extinguishers are located in the kitchen, hallway, and main bedroom, and a fire blanket is in the top kitchen drawer. They have never been used, and I like to be cautious. -The washer is "Hi-end," so only Hi-end detergent (provided) -You may receive Amazon or other package deliveries here.
