Do not hesitate to let me know how I can help you on DAY 1. Neighborhood: This is a family oriented, quiet, peaceful neighborhood, so please respect your neighbors. Although a quiet neighborhood, please make sure to lock the doors when you are in and out. I suggest keeping the key in the lockbox, so you do not lose it when at the beach or if there are multiple people. There are great parks to walk to in each direction of the house. You can also walk to the beach if you follow the lake around all the way it will take you to the sidewalk that goes over the bridge and the ocean is right there. Parking at the beach can be hard, but there are garages for $10 a day (at least that's what it used to be). This is a duplex and the tenants work, so please be respectful of noise and times. Please Park in the driveway if you have a car, or if someone is visiting you with a car. HOUSE RULES: 1. Please enjoy your stay, but be respectful of my house...I live here when you go home. 2. Garbage is collected on Mondays and Thursdays, so if you have any garbage please place in the garbage bag and in the garbage can outside...then place at the end of the driveway near the bushes. Bring garbage can back up once collected. 3. Please leave any doors, which are locked for our storage, locked. 4. Do not leave front or side doors open...it makes the air conditioner work too hard and may shut off. 5. If for some reason electrical goes of because of storms or work in the area, there is an electrical box near the bathroom that you can just flip the switches and flip them back on. 6. Laundry room is used for my other tenant, so don't be surprised to see someone there once in awhile. 7. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING of any kind in the house! If you smoke outside, please do not leave cigarette butts everywhere. 8. NO PETS ALLOWED...I'm very allergic and like I said, this is my house when you are not there. 9. Please do not touch the mail...just leave it in the mailbox. Someone collects it for me. 10. If anyone comes to the door, please do not give out any information. Sometimes we get scams in the neighborhood. Just say you are visiting, which you are. *The bbq is for your use, but please make sure that the fire does not interfere with the trees. Watch at all times and make sure you shut the tank off when not in use. CHECK OUT INSTRUCTIONS: 10AM My cleaning lady does not do laundry, nor dishes so... 1. Place all dirty towels and sheets (not the bedspread because I have to take those to a bigger washer) in the laundry basket outside in the laundry room. 2. Gather all of your garbage and place in the can outside (in a garbage bag), including anything in the refrigerator that you used and is opened (except condiments like ketchup, etc. If you want to leave things that have not been used or opened, that is fine. 3. Place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher. 4. Please leave side outside light on always. 5. Lock all outside doors on the way out. 6. Please leave this manual on the kitchen counter upon checkout. 7. PLACE KEY BACK IN THE LOCKBOX, and let me know when you are all checked out. The cleaning lady is on a schedule, and needs to be there on time, so it is necessary to check out at 10am, unless otherwise arranged with me in advance. Hope you had a great stay and book again!
