Panoramic city views adjoining the stunning Morialta Conservation park with valleys, waterfalls, hiking, rock climbing & world class cycling & vineyards nearby. Shared space with hosts Andy & Robyn (living onsite) include long verandas to sit, enjoy dawn & sunset. Large kitchen available, dining room, sunken lounge for reading by fire with floor2ceiling windows. The space 4 bedrooms sleeping up to 9, available with two bathrooms. With a live-in hosts Andy and Robyn, the 1.2 hectare property offers 4 bedrooms, and common space includes a TV room with fireplace, sunken lounge and floor-to-ceiling windows with fireplace, 12 seated dining table, table tennis room and generous kitchen. Verandas run along the house with views of the garden, and hills, city and sea through the trees. A large swimming pool for the summer months and an ageing tennis court for the athletic. There are gardens with native plants and Australian wildlife to enjoy - we get daily visits from families of kangaroos, kookaburras and random visits from koalas. Walking and hiking options aplenty. Over the road, you can hike down to waterfalls, through well-marked trails, hike around the park or take easier walks along the ridges of Morialta. Morialta also links up with Black Hill Conservation Park and you can easily hike through to other hills parks. Notably, Morialta also includes Australia's largest walking trail, the Heysen Trail, and the Mt Lofty Yurrebilla Trail. The Heysen trail passes through Morialta & extends 1200kms from Cape Jarvis in the south to the Flinders Ranges in the north. Cycling is also huge here, Morialta Bend Hills Retreat is on the Norton Summit Road which is a popular cycling route through the hills. We are also on the 'Tour Down Under' international cycling route and you can cheer on contestants as they race up the hill from the edge of our property. Many world class wineries are in the region. Guest access The entire large house and extensive gardens are available for share use. During your stay Hi, co-host Robyn, will be here to welcome you to ‘Morialta Bend', help you settle in, and answer any questions at any time. There is plenty of room for privacy, long verandas to enjoy, yet Robyn lives here also and will be around to offer help, conversation, hospitality. Feel free to use ... generous kitchen, dining room, lounge with fireplace and a view. From casual meals in the kitchen, outside table dining to 12-seated formal dinners. Nespresso machine, coffee and tea provided. And a tv room with fireplace, table tennis room, long verandas (for reading, aperitifs, summer dinners, sunrises and sunsets), large swimming pool, ageing tennis court, extensive gardens. Other things to note Native guests visit regularly - Kangaroos early mornings and late afternoons, koalas high in the trees, a kookaburra family of five arrive daily, wild ducks, cockatoos, magpies and parakeets.
