Flowery terrace in the Old Town - Entire apartment
Description
Located in the very heart of the historical center, the apartment is in walking distance from the town's main points of interest. The largest bedroom offers a unique view of San Giacomo and the highest peak of the island, Pantokrator. You will enjoy this picturesque and attractive pedestrian area, the authentic charm of the building and the inviting flowery terrace. The renovated bathroom and kitchen offer modern amenities in an old Venetian house that hasn't lost its traditional character! The space The apartment has three bedrooms but one of them will be locked. You will thus have access to one large bedroom that can host up to four people (with one double bed, a single bed and a sofa bed), one smaller bedroom (with two single beds) the bathrooms (the main one has a bathtub and a shower, the smaller one has a shower), the kitchen, the dining-room and the terrace. Please note that the tap water is not potable in Corfu town, but we have a reverse osmosis system that provides you with perfectly safe water. Guest access Located in the heart of Corfu old town (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007), the apartment is one minute walk from the palace, San Giacomo theater, Agios Spyridon Church, the museums and the Old Venetian Fortress that has been watching over Corfu for centuries. The entrance hall even offers a glimpse over the imposing cross at the top of this ancient edifice. Parking : like most of the city center, the street the apartment is on is pedestrian, but you can park for free on the main square (Spianada) or in the neighboring streets (Napoleontos Zampeli, Ilia Politi, Stefanou Padova). During busy hours, you might also try the streets near the tennis courts, which are also quite close to the apartment (Vrela Armeni, Iakovou Polila), or even in Garitsa Bay (a bit further down). I also know there are a few organized car parks, one near the harbor, and one on the second side of the main square. You might also find it interesting to know that it is usually much easier to find a parking place very early (before 8am), during siesta time (2.30-5/5.30, especially on Monday and Wednesday because many shops stay closed in the afternoon of those days) and late at night (after 10-11pm). You can bear all that in mind when organizing your day and how you will come and go. Other things to note According to the new Greek legislation, hosts have to declare every booking with one of the guest's full name and a corresponding passport or ID number (or ΑΦΜ for Greek nationals). I will thus have to ask you for those details. Smoking is not allowed inside the house, but you can always have a cigarette on the terrace of course. Please note that Wi-Fi is mainly available in the kitchen and dining-room. The apartment does not have an air conditioning system, however, we provide fans for the hottest days of the year. Because of its narrow streets, Corfu old town can become a bit noisy. Luckily, the apartment is located in a quiet area, in a pedestrian street and there is no nightlife in the close vicinity. However, you might hear people bustling around the building at specific hours of the day. Registration Details 00001191357
