Red Cottage on Lake Winnebago

As of 2023, we will be doing 30 day minimum stays only. Our modern/rustic cottage on Lake Winnebago, is a quiet getaway with 2 bedrooms & large screened porch. A great place to relax and swim or "work from home". We're 3 hours north of Chicago and 80 minutes north of Milwaukee, near Fond du Lac. Sorry, no guests under 18. No dogs but cats are ok. If your dates don't line up with availability, our calendar is sometimes flexible. The space A two story cottage on Lake Winnebago. The upstairs is one large bedroom with a kingsize bed, dresser and desk that looks over the lake. The downstairs has an open floor plan with the living room and kitchen at one end of the house and the downstairs bedroom with a kingsize bed and table/desk at the other end. There is a wood burning stove and plenty of room for a dinner party inside or outside on the screened porch. There is also a large yard with a fire pit and hammock. Guest access - Swimming - Hammock - Bird watching - Boating (bring your kayak) - Fishing from the pier (walleye, perch, northern pike, smallmouth bass) - BBQ charcoal grill - fire pit with plenty of firewood - wood burning stove in living room - Hiking at Highcliff Park and Kettle Marine - Walleye Weekend in June - EAA in July - PGA in August - Sturgeon fishing in February - Road America Other things to note When you arrive in town, stop at Festival Foods supermarket in Fond du Lac (Johnson St and Rt 151) which has everything you need as far as food and drink. It's open 24/7 but no alcohol after 9pm.
