Description
This guest room is perfect for a couple's getaway. The room is on the second floor, and was one of the original bedrooms of the house. You'll enjoy access to our in-ground seasonal swimming pool, landscaped grounds, free off-street parking, and large common areas inside our historic mansion to go with basic necessities like fast WiFi. We're a 7-minute walk to the top of Greenwich Avenue, and a 5-minute cab ride from the Greenwich Train Station. Please note that we do not have an elevator. The space Our historic mansion was first built in 1843. It was renovated in 1900 in a project led by New York architect Stanford White. The mansion has had a lot of different lives: private home, veteran’s home, hotel owned by the granddaughter of Elizabeth Cady Stanton, boarding house, and bed and breakfast. Much of the house still has little details and touches from the past: paneling, plasterwork, chandeliers. All our guest rooms are comfortable, cozy, and very private. Guest access Guests are warmly welcomed to explore the inviting common spaces of this exquisite inn, featuring a charming library, cozy seating areas by the fireplace, and a delightful dining room offering complimentary beverages and snacks.
