So you picked Kefalonia for your next vacation! But where should you stay exactly? Argostoli, the capital and largest town, is the perfect home. Here in the city is where the island’s heart beats! From here, you can visit all the rest of the island, while having the city perks to return to. Argostoli offers all the dining, nightlife and proper shopping options, as well as an ample choice of fine beaches all around the city. This spacious loft with nice views can be the base for your exploration. The space Ideal for couples or small families, this large loft type apartment is on the 2nd floor of a family property. Located in a quiet neighborhood at the edge of town it offers a great view of the city and ease of access to the whole of Argostoli while staying far enough from the hectic crowds and traffic of downtown. Sizing around 45sqm (480sqft), it is a loft apartment designed and furnished with great taste and attention to detail. The entire space has been carefully laid out to make sure we offer a comfortable and It has one main bedroom, the living room and kitchen and the bathroom. There is one more bedroom space, in an elevated alcove above the living room. There is also a large terrace to sit, relax and enjoy a view of the city and another smaller balcony with even greater view. When first entering the apartment, you find our living room, a nice well-designed space to either hangout with two sofa chairs and a TV or use for your meals indoors. A fully equipped kitchen with normal size stove, oven and refrigerator takes up the far end. There is a toaster, a coffee machine and a kettle available for your breakfast and or snacking needs. Of course, there are all the essential utensils, basic kitchen tools, pots and pans you might need for a self-catering stay. In here there is also a table with a couple of chairs and an extra bed. To the right of the living room is the main bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed. There is ample closet space to store your clothes. Through the stairs the left and above the living room is our secondary bedroom with another twin bed. Finally, the apartment has a regular bathroom, with a tub. Most major points of interest around town can be walked to: • 8’ walk to closest supermarket • 8’ walk to seafront and De Bosset Bridge area • 10’ walk to a Bank/ATM • 12’ to Agora/Argostoli Market – a part of the downtown seafront area with numerous grocery stores, bakeries, butcher and dairy shops etc. and some restaurant and cafés too) • 12’ to Lithostroto St. – a pedestrian street about a mile long where lies the main commercial activity of the city. The place to go for all your general shopping: clothing, jewelry, souvenirs and much more. • 10’ walk to Argostoli Central Bus Station • 15’ walk to Valianou Square (many restaurants, cafés and bars) • 15’ walk to the pier for the ferry to Lixouri • 7’ walk to Kefalonia General Hospital • 7’ walk to Athletic Park (stadium and open basketball courts) • 20’ walk to Lassi You can always use taxis, rent a car or a scooter to get around. Driving a car to downtown Argostoli is not recommended as traffic and lack of parking spaces can be very frustrating. A car, however, is essential if you plan to visit other parts of the island and to ease access to the beach – either around Argostoli or further away.
