Bonalbo Wilderness retreat

Bonalbo Key Ridge is a beautiful secluded 700 acre property bordering Yabbra national park. The property includes over 500 acres of native forest, creeks, several swimming holes and over 8km of walking tracks. The two adjoining houses are constructed from logs of wood and wooden beams all havested from the property. The accomodation includes kitchen facilities, hot shower and flushing toilet. There is limited WIFI available on site (10 Gb) and there is a tower on the hill for telstra users only The space Visit Bean creek falls, explore Yabbra National park or walk along the extensive network of trails through the property. Directions... Do not use Google maps it will take you to the wrong end of Joes Box rd. You must enter Yabbra rd from Old Bonalbo end.. Directions to Bonalbo farm... please print out as there is limited reception on the way. The property itself has good signal for telstra as there is a tower on the hill behind the property.... From Byron, take Bangalow rd to Lismore and past Lismore airport to Casino. Once in Casino left at the intersection, go through Casino main shopping area and cross the bridge heading towards Tenterfield (turning right after the town at the Charcoal Inn intersection). Drive for 45.5km and then turn right into Clarence way (towards Bonalbo), from the main rd turnoff drive 32km until you reach Yabbra rd where you turn left (just before Old Bonalbo). Follow Yabbra rd (dirt Rd) for 10.2km. At the end of the road open the gate with the cattle sign (please close the gate after passing through) drive 1km and turn left into Joes box rd. Then drive 1.2km to the house. The gate entry is just past the house. Address 125 Joes box Rd Yabbra 2479 Guest access Guest are free to explore the property by 4 wheel drive or on foot. Other things to note The entire property is available for small functions with accomodation for up to 14 people between the two houses and camping available. You need to bring all bedding pillows, sheets, blankets and towels. We only provide mattresses in each room. Please note we have recently upgraded the house with a new septic tank and flushing toilet to replace the old composting toilet.. :) All rubbish needs to be removed from the property as there is no rubbish collection in the area.
