This is one of the most significant rural villages of the municipality and as its name suggests, in the past it was a major settlement dedicated to cereal cultivation. Currently this is just a memory, since this territory is now occupied by countless vineyards which every year produce remarkable wines. This Trigueño past can still be seen today in the traditional architecture of the hermitage of Ntra. Sra. De Lourdes, which was founded in 1908, as well as in the old houses scattered throughout the municipality. There are also numerous threshing floors, paved areas that were used for threshing the grain. The Hotel, as its name suggests, is part of the Finca La Hacienda. This property is closely related to the history of Tierra del Trigo since it contributed to the economic livelihood for many years. The building, dating from the nineteenth century, consisted of a main house that served as lodging for landowners and service, and which was complemented by a barn, a stable, a house for farm workers and a cellar; all within the traditional Canarian architectural style.
