Description

Villa Indigo is located in the heart of the Alpilles hills of Southern France. It has 4 air-conditioned bedrooms, sleeping 12-13 people, an inside kitchen and an outside kitchen under a covered terrace, an heated pool. For a French vacation you will not soon forget, our villa is a place you have dreamed about, and you will not be disappointed! The space The villa is set privately in its own garden within the estate, which is surrounded by old olive groves, hedges and scented trees and plants. It has four bedroom, one on the ground floor, three upstairs, each with private shower rooms, and lovely views of the hills from the upstairs rooms. The two double + single bed, and the two twin-rooms, have been individually decorated in a Provencal style and the whole house is air-conditioned. The living room is comfortably furnished, and has a fireplace, a large satellite television screen, DVD and stereo. The kitchen is typically Provencal and well equipped, with a large fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, and dishwasher, and opens onto a covered terrace, where there is a barbecue, and table and chairs. There is also laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer. There is a private heated swimming pool in a lovely, shady setting, which has a security alarm, sunbeds, and garden furniture scattered under the trees. Outside lights softly illuminate the whole property in the evenings, and there is a garage. Saint Rémy has a golf course, as well as, tennis courts and riding stables. You can also go fishing or gliding, and there are endless places to walk or cycle through the hills and discover for yourself, unspoiled, tucked away areas. Glanum, just outside Saint Rémy is one of the most important Roman archeological sites in Provence. Founded 300 BC, it reveals a civilization that influences life here even today. You can see thermal baths, an avenue of houses, the temple and the natural spring, and the remains of a Gallo-Roman town dating 30-10 BC. On the road leaving Glanum are the ancient Arc de Triomphe and Les Antiquities, the gateway to Glanum, standing as they have since that time. Close by is St Paul de Mausole, where Van Gogh spent his last days. From there it is only a short drive through the hills to Les Beaux, an ancient village perched high on the rocks, once one of the most celebrated and brilliant of the troubadour courts of love in the Middle Ages, now romantically ghostly.
