Subject to availability, you have the choice of two large suites, both with ensuite bathroom and luxurious bedding and furnishings. Our master suite is the Rose Garden room with its own entrance, fabulous California King bed, tea/coffee facilities and bar fridge, and a private outdoor patio giving you absolute peace and privacy. Prices quoted are based on a maximum of two adults per suite. For parties of five, we can offer a single room for a special price of NZ$80. This small room is especially suitable for a couple with a child (or three adults travelling together). It is only available on a share bathroom basis when either the Rose Garden suite or Mountain View suite is booked. Children under 5 are free when sharing their parents room. There are no extra beds available. Guests can chose their own 'designer' gumboots for a guided walk around our farm to greet our friendly cows and their calves. Spike our resident cat is the Boss. For those with an allergy to cats Spike completely understands and will happily spend his time on top of some old boxes in the garage. We want our guests to feel at home, free to relax in the living rooms or sit out on the spacious outdoor seating area. You will find further information on our Amberfields Bed and Breakfast website. For guests wishing to stay longer or seeking a rest and respite type experience, we offer special all-inclusive packages, designed around your needs and preferences. We will work with you if needing a pampering experience with absolute rest mixed with holistic massages or a more quiet experience of solitude. Your privacy at all times is totally respected. Pre-wedding stays are all-inclusive, and designed to meet the individual needs of the bride and her attendants. It is a lovely way to take away all the stress and have fun while pampering yourselves (nails, in house massage etc) spending the 'last night' together. The next morning awake to a beautiful day starting with a scrumptious bubble bath, a beautiful breakfast and leisurely dress for your wedding. In-house hair and make-up by professional artists can be arranged. We do not take any other bookings during these special stays. Being a small working farm we are surrounded by large dairy farms and horses. Our closest village is Pirongia, 4 minutes drive away, on Highway 39. This the main route to Waitomo Caves. Check out our reviews on Trip Advisor. Our many guests want a lovely spacious place to stay with close proximity to the Caves, Hobbiton, Raglan and other attractions. Most stay for 2 nights to make the most of the central location. Amberfields has of course, plenty of parking for any number of vehicles. Undercover parking can be arranged if specifically required. Motor homes are welcome if we do not have any B&B guests. Reservations are essential, we do not accept walk-ins or 'driving by' guests under any circumstances. Families who have children typically love the baby animals, collecting the eggs and feeding our happy hens. Sleeping arrangements do need to be considered however since our two suites are not inter-connecting - they are at opposite ends of the house (see single room above). For those with disabilities the Rose Garden suite has easy wheelchair access from the patio directly into the room and the large walk-in tiled bathroom accommodates a wheelchair or a seating chair, which we will provide. Our web site has more details. Since you are sharing our home, we live on-site, we are always available if you have questions or need help. Guest access Cake or snacks, coffee and tea are readily available. Each room has its own tea and coffee making facilities. In the winter, guests particularly enjoy the warm fire and perhaps watching a dvd on the 80 inch home theatre. With two lounge areas and the outdoor patio seating, you are welcome to 'pick your spot' weather dependent of course, and read or rest or sip your wine and watch TV. Check in is not practical earlier than your confirmed reservation time due to our own work and farm commitments. If on your day of arrival you wish to arrive earlier, you must speak to us personally by phone. If possible, we are happy to make this happen. Our kitchen is for our own personal use only; not for guest use. Smoking is permitted outside only. During your stay It is up to you how much you want to interact with us. As hosts, we are friendly and engaging but if you prefer to be left to yourselves, we certainly won't be offended and of course we respect our guests privacy at all times. Other things to note Reservations are required at all times. We have a small herd of Hereford cattle, free range chickens and Spike the cat. Approval is required prior to arrival if you have precious wee dogs and they are generally welcome with prior discussion with us. They must be kept on a leash at all times. Motorhomes are welcome, again by reservation only. This is a non-smoking home. Smoking outside, and away from our home and our other non-smoking guests, is accepted.
