Description

Welcome to the restful bunkhouse! We're a low cost, short term shared lodging like a hostel for a max of 6 male/female guests. Workers stay for weeks - months, vacationers for long weekends, travel guests from around the world! With modern amenities, the bunkhouse is attached to the North Road Farm horse riding school. The historic farm built in 1805 is owned and managed by Airbnb superhost and horse instructor Jan. She and husband Rich live on the farm to make sure you feel safe at home. The space As your superhost, we want to earn your 5* rating! May you find the bunkhouse safe, drama free, serene. We screen all guests and take no vagabonds. Surrounded by rural farms and forest trails, Fremont provides quick access to retail conveniences, Hampton beach, Mount Washington, historic Exeter, Manchester, Portsmouth, Boston cities and the state of Maine. Guests work remotely, at medical centers, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Seabrook Nuclear. They attend trade school, family functions or special events, Folks on holiday travel to and from Canada or NYC. Others need short term housing due to personal situations. North Road Farm represents an early colonial style house and barns farmstead. Guests like the hand-cut post & beam timbers and wide plank floors. Bunkhouse has its own private entrance on the ground floor of the farm for easy entry from the parking area. Outisde you'll find the outdoor fire pit (great for grilling), Adirondack chairs, picnic table, backyard, hot shower and the horses. Outdoor shower (attached to the bunkhouse) is private with plenty of hot water. Bath robes and slippers provided. Only the horses will know you are bathing. 😀 Take a walk down the country road to unwind. See farm animals and wildlife. Access the “rail-trail” network for hours of peaceful exploring. (See Guidebook for more details). Once inside the bunkhouse, you’ll feel at home. With plenty of windows, natural pine interior, radiant heat floor, air conditioning, high speed WiFi and comfy mattresses, guests choose their bunk bed and relax. Our housekeeper makes sure everything looks, smells and is clean. Made by Ikea, the sturdy bunk beds can support a 300 lb guest. You can request a bottom bunk, although beds are first come, first served. One guest to a bed. Six foot tall folding screens can be set up between bunks for more privacy. Fresh bedding, blanket, two pillows for each bed. The multi-purpose room locks from inside and has the toilet, kitchen and laundry. For cooking, guests can use the hot top, crock pot, steamer, microwave, coffee maker. No stove. Free use of washer and dryer. A large table workspace is popular with guests for computers, games, meals, projects. Office desk in the horse tack room is available for separate work space. Pets are welcome but must be approved first by me, Jan your superhost, prior to your arrival. (See Guest Access). A per night pet fee of $10 is an additional charge. Guests are welcome to stroll through the barn when the big red doors are open. You'll meet a barn team member caring for the horses and facility. Don't be shy - say "Hi" and ask any questions. We're all friendly. Make you way to the observation overlooking the farm pond. Here you can enjoy early an morning sunrise, wildlife and horses hanging out. Make yourself comfortable on the deck bench for a quiet moment. Please stay on the deck and do not walk down to the horse paddock unless you have permission. Thank you for safety's safe. Horses are highly food motivated! Horse back riding is available by advance reservation only. Please contact Jan, your Superhost for details on riding or volunteering on the farm. Guest access BUNKHOUSE RULES CHECK-IN Let us know your ESTIMATED TIME OF ARRIVAL for a meet and greet. Our Whippet dogs: Moxie, Maui, Monkey are people friendly. In person, or self check-in is 3 pm to 8 pm.  Guests MUST CHECK IN BY 8 PM. You are free to depart and return later. We DO NOT check-in guests after 8 pm. The bunkhouse is unlocked. GUESTS The bunkhouse is shared lodging, like a hostel.  A maximum of SIX MALE and/or FEMALE GUESTS can stay at the bunkhouse.  PET(S) Pets must be approved by me, your host in advance at the time of your reservation. Please let me know your pet request in advance. ARRIVAL Look for signs to bunkhouse from the parking area.  Follow stone pavers through the open carport to the red door on the right. BUNK BEDS Three bunks offer six beds on a first come, first served basis. Your bed(s) will be either a bottom or top bunk.  Two large privacy screens are available for use between the bunks.  LUGGAGE, STORAGE Personal bins are located under each bunk bed.  Hooks for hangers or clothes are mounted on bunk beds.  Suitcases are kept next to the bunk bed. KITCHEN, TOILET, LAUNDRY ROOMThis multi-functional room is private and locks.  The kitchen has a hot-top, steamer, microwave, coffee machine.  No stove.  Washer & dryer use included. HOT OUTDOOR SHOWER is private and popular. Bathrobes and slippers are provided. Only the horses will know you are in the shower.    Outdoor SOLO FIRE PIT is the best for relaxing in Adirondack chairs and picnic table.  A skillet & utensils are available for use. SMOKING, VAPING must be done at least 500 feet from the bunkhouse, barn and horses.  Dispose of your butts in trash, not ground. High speed internet WIFI is available with guest code. OFFICE DESK in the horse tack room is available for a quiet, private work space.  DEPARTURE is 11 am. Please STRIP BED OF SHEETS, PILLOW CASES, TOWELS and leave on your bed. TIDY  CLEAN  Keep sink, floors, tables, kitchen, toilet, sink, refrigerator, sink, toilet and shower TIDY CLEAN - NO DISHES IN SINK!  Thank you! COVID If you have COVID or test positiv while staying at the bunkhouse, you must leave immediately.  You can return with a negative COVID test result. You will not receive a refund while you are gone from the bunkhouse recovering from COVID. Do you have questions?  Don't hesitate to ask. We here to help! Other things to note PETS You may be required to hire a pet sitter if you are away from your pet for more than 4 hours. We are hosts, not pet sitters. Your pet must stay in a crate if you are away from the bunkhouse. No loose pets in the bunkhouse or on the property. You must keep your pet and pet belongings clean and tidy. You must scoop and dispose of poop on the property. Your pet is welcome with the understanding that: 1. Other guests will be in the bunkhouse too. 2. Not everyone is pet friendly. 3. If your pet is disturbing other guest's peace of mind or sleep with behavior such as barking, biting, whining, whimpering, scratching, meowing, hissing, etc. your pet's stay WILL BE CANCELLED. Your pet will not be allowed back into the bunkhouse.
