Gated Rustic Adobe Guest House Family/Dog Friendly

Rustic adobe guesthouse located in the heart of Albuquerque's North Valley, in the semi-rural village of Los Ranchos. The guesthouse, or casita, is situated on a private horse property (currently no horses live here) of over 1.5 acres with a secure gated entrance within walking distance of a winery, shops, and restaurants. Our special property offers a park-like setting with privacy and security (Permit #581) The space The guesthouse features two separate entrances, a full kitchen (including full size refrigerator, microwave, stovetop/oven, and coffee maker), flat screen TV, wifi, two comfortable bedrooms with closet and drawer space, a bathroom with tub/shower, and a covered deck overlooking the barn and horse arena. Weather-permitting we have a beautiful pond and running fountain and you will hear the soothing sound of the running water while relaxing on the porch. Inside the casita, our full size kitchen is stocked with the basic cookware and even includes kid-friendly dinnerware and cutlery should you need them. If you like wine, Casa Rondena Winery is within a pleasant walking distance (less than 10 minutes) and their tasting room is open daily from 12 - 7. Also within walking distance of about 10 minutes or so are one of our favorite restaurants, Dave's Valley Grill, Vernon's Speakeasy, Kelly Jo's Design by Wine (a wine & paint studio), antique and consignment shops along 4th Street, and Walgreen's. Balloon Fiesta Park is a little over 5 miles away. You will appreciate the security of our front gate, as well as the safe reputation of our neighborhood. The Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque is a special place, close to all the conveniences, yet with the peaceful feel of a rural area. Wildlife abounds here! We regularly see coyotes, road runners, quail, cranes, hummingbirds, rabbits, squirrels, lizards, toads, snails, and all manner of interesting bugs from grasshoppers to walking sticks. PLEASE NOTE: If you read prior reviews you may see references to the horses and the play structure. There are no longer any horses on the property and the yard/play structure is no longer included with this rental unit. It is now available with the main house rental. If you are interested please check that one out! Guest access Guests can park 2 vehicles in our driveway. Please park off to either the right or left side, and do not block the garage doors. From the driveway, you can go through the gate on the right-hand side (always keep gate locked) to get to the Casita. Other things to note Please note that our listing states 6 guests; however there are just the 2 bedrooms and a pull-out couch in the living room. The pull-out couch is equivalent to a full-sized bed. Because there is 1 bathroom we feel that for your comfort the number of adults should be 4 or less, with the remaining guests to be children.
