This is our 'budget friendly' converted Farm Shed. It's the 'baby' of our three farmstay's. We share this space with you when we are not using it ourselves. It's located on our stunning 8 acre biodynamic hobby farm, only 5 minutes from Bellingen town. It has a beautiful sunny north east aspect with beautiful views of the mountains & paddocks, an outdoor shower and bath and BBQ facilities. We have three farmstays on our beautiful 8 acre organic hobby Farm In Bellingen in NSW and we have a stunning rustic eco- friendly “off the grid” wilderness hut in Hernani, in the New England tablelands one hour from Bellingen. Each property has been lovingly built and restored to tread lightly on the planet and to maximise the beautiful surrounds. OUR VISION Our vision is simple, we are committed to providing our guests with eco-friendly accomodation and to provide you with a beautiful space which is fully equiped for you to enjoy your holiday with your loved ones. OUR SPACE We have created a relaxed and quirky space where you can enjoy the beautiful surrounds. It’s rustic, charming and fun. Our interiors are a mix of pre-loved, recycled vintage, country and roadside collectables. The Farm Shed is a two bedroom revamped shed that has an outdoor/indoor kitchen which is fully equipped with gas stove and oven, a fantastic 1920's slow combustion wood fired stove and oven and plenty of pots and pans, baking equipment, sandwich toastie maker, rice steamer, stove top espresso and everything you may need to cook some great meals at the farm. There is no TV here, so enjoy the opportunity to switch off, slow down and enjoy some down time away from the background noise. We have a selection of books, puzzles, games & toys for you to enjoy. We have a small bluetooth speaker for you to connect your device to play music on. LAYOUT There is one double sized bed in the main open plan living space beside the fireplace and two small separate bedrooms. One bedroom has a set of bunk beds, the other bedroom has a single bed. Whilst we can accomodate 5 people comfortably we are happy to extend this to a few more if you are happy to put a mattress on the floor. We also have plenty of room for a caravan, camper trailer or a few tents if you have a larger group. We also provide a kindercot for those travelling with a baby. BOOKINGS We block off our calendar for this property for all holidays and long weekends, as this is when we use this space most ourselves. Once we know what our bookings are like for our other properties we will open the calendar. Feel free to send us an enquiry regarding dates you may like that are appearing as blocked and I can let you know if we can release those dates to you. PRIVACY Part of the reason we offer this space at this price is it's location on our farm. Whilst it has beautiful views and north east aspect, its situated on the middle level of our farm beside our main growing areas, and between our main chicken house (no roosters to disturb you) and our feed sheds and horse yard. What this means for you, is that we feed our chickens and horses in front of your space each morning at 7:30am, we access our ride on mower and other farm equipment beside your shed. Whilst we do our best to limit the impact on your privacy we have a farm to run and lives to live. So, if complete privacy is essential for your holiday, this place will not be suitable for you. SHARED SPACE This shed is where I stay with my children when the main Farm House is booked up, I also share it with my farm sitters who look after my farm and guests in my absence. I leave some of our belongings and my children's toys here for our own ease and convenience. We ask that you kindly not use or remove our personal belongings. We are happy for your children to share our toys and books. We will leave some space for you to put your own things and we hope you enjoy staying here as much as we do. AMENITIES The kitchen, toilet and bathroom (shower and bath) are situated outside beside the main shed. Whilst they are partly enclosed they are outside, and this can be cold in winter. We have a great slow combustion stove to heat the outside kitchen area. We have a washing machine for your laundry and a clothes line. FARM ANIMALS We have two dogs, three horses, two sheep, three miniature Pygmy goats, two native stingless bee hives, and our beautiful heritage chickens free ranging on the farm. Our cows are enjoying greener pastures on our neighbours farm. If your children would like to help us feed our chickens each morning and collect eggs in the afternoon please let us know and we’ll organise for them to help us. OUR FARM FRESH VEGGIES We grow beautiful biodynamic seasonal fruit and veggies and eggs, if you would like a box of veggies (aprox $40-$80) The price of a box depends on the number of guests and length of your stay, please let us know when you book and we will have it waiting for you when you arrive. OUR PERMACULTURE STYLE FARM If you want to have a look at our garden and orchard please let us know so we can try and make time to show you through. THINGS TO DO: Bunches creek is located at the bottom of the farm below your house and is a great spot for a picnic and a paddle. We have plenty of board games, books and puzzles. Let your children help us feed the chickens and collect the eggs. We have swings, a tree house and a trampoline for your children to enjoy. There are some beautiful bush walks 5 min from the house. There is an info folder at the house which explains how everything works, please read it carefully when you arrive to ensure a safe and smooth stay. It also gives you my choices of cafes and restaurants and what to see and do in the local area. COVID TRAVEL POLICY Given the current state of Covid and to ensure the health and safety of all our guests visiting our farm for their holiday we now require the following: if guests are symptomatic they must either provide their negative PCR test or their RAT test (rapid antigen test) prior to arrival. Should guests tests positive they will be unable to attend their holiday and will forfeit their booking. We are unable to provide refunds or travel credits for guests that are unable to attend as a result of having Covid. We highly suggest that guests take out travel insurance to cover any accidental loss of funds as a result of Covid. Thank you for your understanding. COVID CANCELLATIONS Government Policy If your trip is cancelled due to government policy restricting travel, or a lockdown as a result of Covid 19, we will offer you a travel credit of equal value to be used within 6 months of your original booking date. There are no extensions for this time period, so we suggest you book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Should you reduce the number of guests from your original booking we will not offer any refunds. COVID POSITIVE If you test positive to Covid prior to your arrival, you will not be able to have your holiday. We will not be offering refunds or travel credits as we will be unable to fill your booking. Should you arrive at our farm and test positive for Covid during your stay, we will either ask you to leave and complete your isolation at home or for longer bookings you're welcome to have your holiday here as long as we can rest the house for 72 hrs before the next guest arrives, in which case you may have to reduce the length of your holiday to accomodate that safety gap. Guest access The Farm Shed is all yours to use and enjoy. It has flat access and there are no stairs on this property. We check you in and then leave you to your holiday, however, we often see you on a daily basis when we come down to feed all the animals and collect the eggs each afternoon. Feel free to join us if you would like to be involved. We ask that you please keep all the doors to the verandah and kitchen closed at all times to prevent our chickens entering these areas. Our farm is your farm, so unless there are other guests on the farm we are happy for you to explore it and enjoy it all. We have many animals on our farm, we ask that you are diligent in keeping our gates closed at all times to prevent our animals getting out on the road or into our cropping areas. We have a beautiful farm and many farm animals to enjoy, we hope you make yourselves at home and enjoy all that we have to offer here. Other things to note ARRIVAL | ANIMAL SAFETY If you arrive before we have a chance to meet you please go in and make yourselves at home, and feel free to have a wander around our farm, but please for the safety of yourselves and our animals we ask you to observe a few rules. Please COPY our gates, this prevents our animals getting out on the road and into our cropping areas. If the gates are open then leave them open,  and if their closed please close them. If you have children, please supervise them around our animals. All our houses have a no shoe policy to minimise bringing animal poop and mud into our homes, you are welcome to wear shoes that are not being used on the farm.
