Our home is a traditional Kyoto machiya created for guests who wish to experience everyday life in the city. Surrounded by a Japanese garden and traditional spaces, you can stay while feeling the natural rhythm of local life. It is ideal for those who appreciate history, culture, and a calm, residential atmosphere. The house is a 5-minute walk from Kuramaguchi Station, located in a quiet neighborhood with historic townhouses, local shops, cafés, and bakeries nearby. The space This is a private, whole-house rental that can accommodate up to 4 guests. As you open the gate, you’ll step into your own private space. Walking along the stone path and entering the house, a calm and traditional Japanese interior welcomes you. On the first floor, there are two tatami rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a beautiful Japanese garden. The second floor has two 6-tatami mat bedrooms with seasonal futons provided. Both rooms are air-conditioned and can be divided by sliding doors (fusuma) for added privacy. First Floor: Tatami living room (6+6 mats), Japanese garden, full kitchen, Western-style toilet, washroom, bathroom Second Floor: Two tatami bedrooms (can be separated by fusuma) Guest access This is a private, whole-house rental for one group only, including access to a private garden. However, please do not use storage spaces such as closets. Insulation and soundproofing are not as effective as modern buildings. The property is located in a quiet residential area, so you may hear normal household sounds, especially at night.
