Currently, I am only accepting reservations for guests who are fully vaccinated. Just off I-10 on Tuscon's peaceful west side. No congested street traffic. Easy access to Tucson events (gem show, book fest), Desert Museum & airport. Located on a cul-de-sac that backs up to open space, my home is a perfect getaway location. Walking paths & heated, year-round community pool. I love hosting guests and as a writer for several local publications, I know all the best 'insider' places to explore. The space The bedroom is light & airy and accommodates two adults with a queen bed. The private bath is located across the hall. A child (under age 12) may be accommodated with parents in the same room - bring along a sleeping bag. Two cats live with me and are friendly. Guest access My home in one floor with no steps to the entrance or inside. I welcome guests to use the kitchen, store cold items in my fridge, and make quick stovetop or microwave meals. The TV is in the family room and you're welcome to watch with me or if I'm away, watch on your own. Community pool is heated year-round. OK to usse of washer/dryer. During your stay Preferred Check-in: 3-7 PM but other arrival times can be coordinated. Access requires Gate Code. I love hosting with guests, getting to know people from around the country/world and sharing stories of adventures. I know the area well and can offer suggestions on excursions, hiking and some restaurants. One of my favorites is The Polish Cottage. Yes, a Polish restaurant in a UNESCO city known for its 23 Miles of Mexican Food. Other things to note Major Attractions Nearby: Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Saguaro National Park West, Tucson Mountain Park, Sweetwater Preserve (hiking & mountain biking), Sweetwater Wetlands, International Wildlife Museum, Mission Garden, Tucson Presidio, Mission San Xavier...the list goes on!
