Jolly double room by a forest and a river.

You are welcome to share my happy home in a beautiful corner of Lancashire. You might spot a deer, pet the horses, walk in the forest, swim or fish in the river or just borrow a book and kick back. I’m happy to recommend outings - I know my history and my hikes! Musician friendly house with piano and guitars at the ready. This is a house with flow - my mum, nieces and regulars guests often come through my doors. Couples are welcome but it’s not ideal for a secluded romantic retreat. The space Double room with comfortable king sized bed, desk, kettle with tea and coffee and plenty of wardrobe space. There is a shared guest bathroom with bath and shower opposite your room and a second guest bathroom downstairs. You are welcome to use kitchen and lounge. Help yourself to cereals, porridge and fruit for breakfast if you wish. Guest access We are one and a half miles from the nearest bus stop, so you do need a car. That said, there is an Italian restaurant and pizzeria right opposite said busstop so you could walk there and back. But much better to pack a picnic and do the one hour circular walk from our house along the banks of the River Ribble and stop for a splash or a swim on the way. We have plenty of parking space. During your stay I'm usually around and so is my housemate, Shane. My mum lives in the house opposite. There's also Maria who looks after the horses, not in the house but out and about, and sometimes my sister and kids, and sometimes there's eighty something year old Albert who looks after the sheep. It's a mix of calm and community most of the time.
